At a distance of no more than 10 feet from the power source, 6AWG should suffice for a 120vAC 600w inverter. BlueSea Systems' DC Wire Size Chart was used to confirm the size.
Good morning,br>The OD of this cable is. The coil is 320" long and comes in a plastic bag as a small hand coil. The coil has a diameter of about 8" and a width of about 2". It is approximately 2.25 pounds. 8"br>Best wishesbr>Greg A.
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it passes some tests, because mine does.

This stuff is great, but there is one thing to keep in mind when using it in your car. br>br>I'm using a 6 awg wire on a short run from the battery to the driver's side (fiat 500, very short). 14 feet. (Of course, your system's power requirements must be followed) br>br>This is the part you're interested in. Working with this wire is a breeze. br>br>However, most car audio wire coatings are quite durable in comparison. It's simple to cut through this coating. The coating is flat, not slick, as you might expect from traditional car power supply wire or clear coated speaker wire, making it easy to work with. However, it is simple to cut. br>br>However, this is a substantial amount of material. On the market, there is a plethora of low-cost car audio power supply wire. I have some copper clad wire with a gauge of 8 awg that is a complete joke. This is miles ahead of the competition. It is, indeed, extremely adaptable. When you add the braiding, you can stiffen it up to a certain extent. br>br>Keep in mind that you must cover this wire or you risk exposing the copper on a sharp edge in your vehicle. br>br>Here's what I purchased: "1/4 inch" br>br> "1/4 inch" br>br> "1/4 inch" br> Alex Tech Braided Cable Sleeve"br>br>"1/2 inch Flexo PET Expandable Braided Sleeving – Black – Alex Tech Braided Cable Sleeve"br>br>"The 1/4" easily expands to cover 2 feet. " The 1/2", on the other hand, is a lot easier to work with and pull tight, as well as heat shrink the ends. As a result, the 1/2" of battery run is covered. And with that, I'll sign off. The "1/2" braided black color 100-foot roll is an excellent deal. I just placed an order for it. In addition. br>br> Unless some strands are removed, this 6 awg will not fit into an 8 awg car amplifier or distribution block. If you can only fit 8 awg, plan on doing some extra prep or purchasing the 8 awg. br>br>If I ever build a new system for my car, or any other car in the future, I'll start with this wire and the braiding described above. br>br>25 feet of each. Because the 1/2' expands so much, it's very simple to cover the 6awg with it. Pulling the ends together and heat shrinking them creates stunning power supplies. In fact, the 1/4-inch braiding expands just enough to fit as well. More than a 2-foot run would be too much for me. It does, however, seem to work. br>br>Of course, 6 awg copper fits easily into 4 awg power terminals from Rockford Fosgate. To fit into my little zapco and old ppi a100, I had to remove a few strands. But I was more than happy to do so, and I used a 25-foot piece to run power to the powered sub and two small amps, as well as ground to the chassis. br>br>amps designed for true 8 awg wire will not fit this copper unless they are trimmed.
This is a 50Amp supply cable that I use to power air compressors in my Jeep and Truck. These compressors can pull 40-pounds of air, which is probably more than I need. 45 amps. It's very adaptable, so it's simple to route. The rubber's durability will be determined over time, but most welding cable is built to withstand harsh environments. I'm hoping it's the same situation.
I'm using a diode isolator to wire my motorhome. Flexible and adaptable. The fine wire strands make crimping a breeze.
I would recommend this product because I am very pleased with it. This is a product that I would recommend.
The item arrived in perfect condition.
good wire.
It appears to be genuine copper in appearance. Flexible enough to be useful. A 300 watt automotive power inverter was used in this application.
This purchase has made me very happy. High-quality braiding that is easy to work with. It's also true that the wire is 6 gauge!.
