Questions & Answers

If the sockets are in a drawer, how high will the rail raise them? I want to make sure that my deep socket impacts will fit in the upright position. ?

To answer this question, I removed the black vinyl end caps from the red bars. This would make the socket bar in your toolbox look like it's bolted down tight. All of the Craftsman sockets were used. I measured the socket height separately before mounting it on the socket rail, and then again after it was mounted. br>*The 1/4" socket was raised 0.25 inches after installation. 488"br>*The 3/8" socket was raised 0. after installation. 456"br>*The 1/2" socket was lifted 0.25 inches after installation. 419"br>If the black vinyl end caps are left in place, it will add. 050" should be added to each of the above-mentioned measurements.

How long have they been there? to the very last detail?

They're 17 inches long with the rubber end caps on. 25 inches in length. Every single one of the three units is identical. I hope this has been of assistance.

Will these socket holders come in a different color, such as red for metric and blue for SAE?

Update: The blue socket holders are on their way to Amazon; there will be some delays due to Thanksgiving, but they should arrive next week.

Please let us know if this fantastic product will be available in a variety of colors in the near future. thanks. ?

Another color will be available in December if all goes well. Thank you very much.

This is the best method for organizing sockets that I've ever seen! I've found that storing all of my 1/2'' to 1/4'' sockets in 1/2 of my top drawer is the most convenient solution
5/5

I tried others before discovering these and was able to get rid of them all. I bought five sets and two extra 3/8'' rails, which I mounted to plywood to keep them from moving. The rail clips slide on and off, allowing you to use different drive sizes on the same rail, such as my 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4' drive torx.

Great socket rail that can handle even the heaviest sockets
5/5

Don't be fooled by the two-headed monster. "The ball bearing spring is not strong enough to hold heavy (18mm) deep impact sockets," claims one "Amazon_Customer" in a five-star review. That claim 100% disagrees 100% with me. I have a set of 1/2" drive deep impact sockets that range in size from 7/16" to 1 1/4", and the clips on this socket rail will easily hold those sockets in place, even when the rail is held up- up-side-down This rail, with all of those sockets, weighs 8 1/2 pounds, and I can easily lift it using only my thumbs and middle fingers to grasp two sockets. Of course, with impact sockets, you must place the socket on the clip in such a way that the ball on the clip engages the hole in the side of the socket. If you don't, you'll have a lot of problems with poor socket retention. My only criticism is that, aside from the rubber end caps, there is nothing to keep the clips from sliding off the end of the rail, which would be insufficient for retaining a rail-mounted device. If the rail was hung vertically, it would be crammed with heavy sockets. Putting a small bolt through one of the end holes is the obvious solution. So, if you work in a mechanic shop and have easy access to bolts of all sizes, this isn't a big deal, but Olsa needs to fix this. Aside from that, it's a fantastic socket holder.

With the exception of a minor design flaw, this is an excellent product
5/5

I bought a bunch of these Olsa socket carriers in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 sizes and put them to work. The only criticism I have is a minor stumbling block - The size of the socket, especially for deep sockets, starts to overwhelm the carrier at about 1" or 24mm. What I mean is that the socket's bulk and weight reaches a point where it is too heavy on one end, wants to roll in your hand (and tool box), and may even pop off due to the socket's weight. Simply be aware of this restriction, as it applies to any carrier of this type. br>br>Because most people don't have sockets this big, it's only a minor issue until you get to the 1/2" drive sizes. br>br>Aside from this minor quibble, I'm a very satisfied customer who enthusiastically recommends these organizers. I adore them, but only up to a certain size of socket.

There's a reason why these are so popular
5/5

Simply place an order for them. The following are the reasons. I've tried a lot of different socket organizers, and these are the best. no BS . Order them as soon as possible. They're incredibly sturdy and smooth. and the cost is reasonable in comparison to the quality. They can hold a full rack of 1/2" impact deep sockets with no flex, ZERO FLEX, and they're still light and slide easily. They're made of a high-grade extruded aluminum that's been anodized nicely. That's why I purchased extras in 3/8 and 1/4. Sockets do not fall out, but they also do not require any effort to remove. I'm so pleased with these that I'm going back to buy more 1/4 and 3/8 to replace all of my others during this sale. make things easier for yourself Also, if they don't fit in a drawer or box, you can cut them down with a cut off wheel and reattach the rubber end. Someone commented that they wished the 1/4 came with more clips so that they could use it with more 1/4 sockets. Yes, a pack of plastic slide clips would be nice, but I can't hold that against them. It's not often that you can get something so well-made and attractive for such a low cost.

With one exception, this is a fantastic product
4/5

I really like these organizers; they're well-made and provide a great way to keep loose sockets organized. Simple, easy to store and organize. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the smaller 3/8" version came with fewer socket clips. The larger 1/2" drive holders are the same as the 1/4" sets. The extra clips needed to completely fill the smaller size holder rails (due to the smaller socket sizes) cost the same as buying a new set. br>br>The smaller 1/4" br>br> With the number of clip holders included, 3/8" set rails aren't nearly as full as they could be. Given that most tool sets now include both metric and inch versions, having enough socket holder clips to fit both on one rail in the smaller sizes would be ideal. It doesn't seem right that the extra clips are so expensive, but that is just one person's opinion.

Blowmold isn't as good as this
5/5

My toolbox resembled an environmentalist's worst nightmare after I purchased a few socket sets. Every drawer you looked into was crammed with large, bulky boxes. Once I got these racks, everything changed. Because of their flimsy nature, I've never been a big fan of socket rails, but these have completely changed my mind. Thanks to these, my top drawer now looks like I'll be able to get some work done. I have up to 1-inch of clearance on the 1/2" rail. This rail has no trouble holding all of the 1/2 deep impact sockets in place. When you pick up the entire rail, it doesn't budge under the weight of a couple of big sockets. All I wish for is a 3/4-inch rail!.

I really like these socket rails
5/5

Socket rails of excellent quality. The red anodized finish is lovely, and the aluminum construction and ball bearing equipped socket holders make these a high-quality purchase; however, the same product appears to be offered by multiple vendors on Amazon, so it's worth shopping around before adding these to your cart. I'm so happy with them that I've already placed an order for a second set. Neiko was kind enough to give me the first set: The Neiko branded rails have two advantages : they are about 30% less expensive than the Olsa tools set and they come with more included socket holders (eighteen 3/8" s The main advantage of the Olsa rails, on the other hand, is that they come in a variety of colors (which makes it easy to distinguish between metric and SAE sockets visually). Currently, the Neiko rails are only available in red. br>br>The only thing I wish Neiko and Olsa had included was a shorter rail option. Ares is one of them. These are far too long for a standard set of ten to twelve sockets. It would be easier to locate a storage case for shorter rails if they were available.
