I found two plier organizers on Amazon when I was looking for one. The cost of one was around $23 and the cost of the other was around $19. Normally, you get what you pay for, but because this was done through Amazon, you won't be able to do so. As a result, I paid $18 for their MLTools. Yes, I have Amazon Prime, so I can't say the delivery was quick because it is what it is. The package arrived in perfect condition. It has the same number of tools as the other one and has a black soft coating. 32br>br>It fit in my drawer in terms of length, and I've discovered that I have way too many different pairs of pliers, lol. I'm going to order a second one from them - MLTools. br>br>Holds my cutting, regular, and vise grips, as well as needle nose and long needle nose pliers, small pliers, and long hose pliers. It's nice to have a well-organized tool drawer where you can quickly see what's missing. br>br> br>br>Highly recommended.
It requires a deeper drawer (at least 4 inches), and if your drawer isn't very long, you won't be able to fit anything else in it. As a result, this is an excellent product!! It looks great, feels solid, and once you've loaded it up, it should be heavy enough to stay put when you open and close the drawer. If I have time, I'll post a photo of the finished product. br>br>*edit
added a photo. I didn't take a picture before, but I had all of my pliers in dish drainers. They aren't bad pliers racks, and I still have one in my closet, lol.
I'm tired of rummaging through my tool box drawers looking for a specific pair of pliers or cutters because I can't find them quickly, they're a jumble in the drawer, and tool box racks require a large drawer, which I don't have. I decided to give a bench top rack a shot, and it has proven to be a good investment. I can easily move the entire rack to clean up my bench because the wire configuration does not collect dirt or dust. br>br>At a glance, I can see all of my pliers and cutters; there are regular and wide slots, solid wire, and a thick coating. It doesn't take up much bench space, and the added convenience more than compensates for the lost bench space. Overall, for under $25, this is a good buy. I hope this information is useful.
I had no idea how much fun it would be to open my pliers drawer! I can't say I've ever looked forward to opening a drawer full of tools as a professional heavy truck dealer technician, but now when I open my pliers drawer, the clouds part and a choir of harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harp-playing harpists sing While I was choosing pliers for a job, I heard angels singing! I feel obligated to brag about it to my coworkers. workers and brag about how beautiful my once-chaotic pliers drawer has become. br>br>3/11/17 - Updated Before, after, and useful dimensional relations have been added.
It was an excellent organizer for my pliers, which I had stacked on top of each other and had to rummage through to find the ones I needed. Because the pliers are now on edge, I had to switch to a deeper drawer in my upper cabinet. Because I still have a few sets of pliers that I stack flat, I'm thinking about ordering another and moving them both to the deeper base cabinet. Using a band saw I recently purchased, I was able to cut the rack down to fit in the drawer. I attempted to cut it with a hack saw, but it proved to be difficult to control.
This rack is ideal for organizing most pliers and should fit in the drawers of most newer tool chests. To fit it into my tool chest drawer, I had to cut a few of the slots off one end. I was able to repurpose the remaining piece in a smaller toolbox. Just keep in mind that some areas of expertise - or odd- shaped - It's possible that pliers won't work. And - Obviously - It helps if you can be disciplined enough to put the pliers back in their place after you've finished using them.
This plier holder fit perfectly in my US General 72" tool chest with plenty of room to spare. Holding pliers vertically rather than horizontally saves space in drawers. Even after slamming drawers shut, it keeps pliers in the holder. wire strippers, needle nose pliers, side cuts, adjustable pliers, lineman pliers, small, medium, and long handle pliers can all be stored in this case.
My pliers drawer was greatly improved by three organizers. With a hacksaw, it can easily be cut to length and, thanks to the rubber coating, it stays put. My only criticism is that the spacing between the dividers is a little uneven, but this isn't a major flaw. All I had to do was make sure my pliers with wider handles weren't in the narrower areas.
