The best place on the planet for a tool to break is on the trail, miles from flat land, where you can jack up and change a flat. First, the reamer tip was extremely blunt; I had to "file" it down to make it sharp enough to enter the tire, and then I used the insert tool to ream the crud out of the hole. When I tried to push the speed plug in (it was all gooed up with the included lube), the tool bent and became completely useless. The worst part is that this was a slow leek to begin with, and I should have just ignored it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no While my friends were having fun, I had to try to patch it up. In a matter of seconds, the slow leak turned into a full-on flat. The very first hint. "Made in China" is a phrase used to describe a product that is made in I should've come back right away. Because I won't be able to return it right now, I'll simply remove the stems, cores, and pliers and discard the rest of the kit.

1) The case is flimsy and weak; in hot weather, it is so thin and soft that the kit's components are not retained; the hinges will most likely fail in a short period of time. br>2) The kit does not include a ream; instead, it includes a hole sizing spike, which is not a ream. The tool is incapable of abrading or machining tire rubber in any way. This appears to be an attempt to protect nylon plys and steel belts from damage. Although a ream would provide a more uniform bonding surface, the spike is more likely to cause belt damage. br>3) A small container of petroleum jelly is included in the kit, and the "ream" is recommended for use with it. That's a bad idea. Chemical vulcanization of the worms in place, rather than lubrication of the hole they go into, should be included in the kit. This kit has a major flaw in that it does not use tire-specific "rubber cement," which will not only act as a lubricant but will also help seal the hole and protect the belts from the elements. br>Even as a temporary fix, I would not recommend using the methods described in the instructions. ARB has delivered a disappointing product. They haven't been sued yet, which is surprising.

I haven't tried out the tools yet. Of course, I hope this never happens - But they feel solid, and given ARB's reputation, I'm confident they'll be fine; however, I'm a little surprised by the packaging. Again, knowing ARB's quality and offroading experience, I would expect them to provide a more compact and space-saving vehicle. Their kit is kept in an efficient container. br>br>The orange plastic clam shell box consumes far more cargo space than is required. I repacked everything into a smaller pouch that I had lying around from somewhere else, and it now only takes up a fraction of the original space. Their case may provide better protection for the tools, but they aren't particularly fragile in the first place. Finally, the plastic, especially the hinge and clasps, does not appear to be very durable. In short, I'm confident the tools are in good working order, but the case will be recycled.

A 1/16" hole was enlarged to over 1/4" with the included scraper tool. The tool then became stuck in the tire, and the handle came loose. I used the Allen wrench that came with the tool to reattach the handle and pull the tool out. After that, I tried to put the plug in. I pushed on the handle after partially inserting the lubricated tool tip and inflating the tire to 36 psi. With my entire body weight on the handle, there was no way it would go in. The vehicle's tire had come off and was standing vertically. After a ten-minute experiment with various methods, I grabbed the $6 Slime kit and plugged the tire in seconds.

My wife's car tire had a flat, so I had to fix it. I found the T-shirt in my Walmart kit, which I had taken out of my truck. Handle is broken. It would have been a pain if I had tried to push in the sticky cord and the handle failed, causing my palm to go through the Shaft. To finish the repair, I used a spare kit that I had at home. As a result, I went on the hunt for Metal Handle Kits. I chose the ARB because of the brand, as well as the Metal Handles and Tough Probes. The quality of the handles is satisfactory, and they are extremely smooth. To add texture and remove the rough casting edges, I filed down the handles. These should last a lifetime, and I'm going to get another one for my son.

This is the second time I've done something like this. When the side wall of my friend's tire was sliced by a rock out in the middle of nowhere, I had to use my first set for him. I was fortunate enough to have this in my truck. I had to use a lot of plugs, but the tire held air just fine. It's my brother's truck for the second time. These plugs are thicker and longer than the majority of the kits on this page. THIS KIT IS REQUIRED IF YOU GO OFFROAD. I've purchased lower-cost kits before, so I'm familiar with the process. trust me. The difference between this kit and a cheap one is that you'll be able to go home even if you get a flat, which is not the case with other kits. You'll be glad you did if you spend the money now. Because if you're in the middle of nowhere, that'll set you back ten times, if not more, than the cost of this kit!.

Although similar kits are available for less money, this one is quite good. The size and quantity of plugs, as well as the additional tools and bits, are all appealing. I went to a local off-road park with my truck. I parked on the side of the road and returned home to discover I had a slow leak. I had it plugged in in less than 30 minutes, despite having no prior experience with this. Finding the leak was the difficult part, but with some soapy water, we were able to do so. All I had to do was ream the tiny hole into a larger hole, insert the plug, and trim the ends once I found it. You can learn the basics by watching videos on the internet. The kit has proven to be very useful, and I bring it with me on every road trip.

The case is faulty. This kit's components are of good quality - ARB's high-quality reputation is upheld. The case's quality, on the other hand, is perplexing. There are two latches on the case that are used to close it. Only one of the latches, however, is engaged. The other simply flops around aimlessly, unable to keep the case closed. I bought one kit and ran into problems. As a result, I returned the kit and began the process all over again. I placed a second order. The problem with the second kit is the same. As a result, I'll keep the cardboard packaging sleeve on the case to keep it closed in my Jeep. It's just a shame that the case for what is otherwise a fantastic kit is being manufactured incorrectly. You don't want the case to open and the contents to spill all over the place. ARB - This is something that your Chinese manufacturer must fix.
