Questions & Answers
It takes only a few minutes for the antifreeze to ruin the tire gauge. This would be a tough task if you have an all brass & steel team If you want a tire gauge that is going to withstand tire liquids, it should be stainless steel (for all parts that come into contact with the tire liquids). For measuring pressure, air, nitrogen, oxygen, acetylene, water, gasoline, oil, etc. There are fluids in all of them, and The gauge should be able to measure the fluid pressure as long as the pressure range is within the range of what the gauge can handle and the gauge is properly configured. As long as the gauge is strong enough to handle the fluid, it will work.
The question is a good one.
Regardless of whether the reading rod is in or out of air, it will remain extended.

The data displayed on this gauge depends on how quickly you let it press up. There is no buffer on the slider, so the readings may vary. If you pressurize without throwing out the slider, it will show an accurate reading only if you slowly insert it onto the valve stem and insert it slowly onto the stem. The slide will be thrown by about half if you don't take the time to squish it against the slider There is a 1 psi difference between the reading and the real.
The purpose of this device is to measure the tank pressure in my RO system. I was delighted with the result and it met my needs exactly.
An ideal way to set the tire pressure on an ATV is this method. In the normal retail outlet, this type of gauge is hard to find. The application is already in use. The quality of the product is excellent.
The battery is necessary for my ATVs and zero turn mowers. Does what it is advertised to do. I purchased it because it was inexpensive, but it appears to be of the same quality as my other pressure gauges that have lasted.
It is used for trail riding with my ATV - purchased to keep in my tool kit. As tested against an electronic gauge, it appears to be accurate. A must-have when riding! This item is small enough to stash almost anywhere, and very useful.
There seems to be a big cost difference between the build quality of these and my made-in-Chicago Milton gauge. Where does plastic come from? The Milton gauge is harder to read, but this is simpler to read. Those are great for Gokart or ATV tires, but they're also great for minibikes and minibike tires. If you want to explore other options, I would recommend.
There is a low pressure requirement for 4 wheelers (dependent on the tires), but I saw my regular gauge could not achieve it.
I use this gauge for my mower, and other low pressure needs, like when I am farming. It is handy and accurate. Glad to hear that.
