The accuracy of the report is poor. Get the extra money and spend it. This is a whole set I got to use when measuring and to be able to share them with a colleague. There was a bit of a problem with the stickers on the readings--after taking a tire reading, it was difficult to stay on any given An inaccurate measurement of 3/32 was taken by another (far left), which is unacceptable for professional purposes. As I went through the remaining 20 I was fortunate not to find any others who had the same problem but the fact that I did find It would be wise to spend more money on tread depth gauges that are painted or engraved in metal, rather than the cheap ones. With yours there is no telling what quality will be, whether you will get two or ten out of twenty.
I read other reviews and decided to examine every one of them. There is a zero just above the metal for all of them. They were the same ones I bought from my local autozone and Advance Auto Parts. Despite the price difference, this is I think a much better product and much cheaper than the local ones. It won't hurt if I lose one or if I decide to give it.
They are After buying a 2-pack a few months ago, the first one worked well. After using it for a few weeks, the second one suddenly began to loosen and could not hold measurements, so I threw the first one away and grabbed the second. A couple of days ago, it gave out. In my experience, 2 lasted a few months, a 20 pack should last a long time, and if not, I'll live with it. There was no charge for them. If a new one is not accurate I do verify it against a digital micrometer, but a fraction of a mm is not a serious issue to me because if the tread is low enough that I would question the precision, then the tire probably just needs to be replaced.
It is a simple tool but a huge money saver when shopping for tires. For example, I had 9 3/2 on my old tires when I bought them six months ago and 6 3/2 on the ones I just bought six months ago for my second As a new tire buyer, I wish I had this tool when I bought those tires because not all tires are.
Measures the tread depth of a Christmas tree in a simple, easy-to-read manner. Get a tread depth gauge that measures the tread depth in metal or a digital gauge that measures it in silicon.
When I was a foreman at a dealer, I ordered 40 copies of these to distribute to my technicians A few days later, I have multiple techs show me how they are inaccurate since the pin falls into the body of the gauge so that the gauge shows the tire tread to be good even when it is near bald. One gauge completely fell apart as you can see from the photo. It is a waste of time and money to spend it on them.
The fleet drivers received over 20 of them since I purchased them. It became apparent that several of the tires needed to be replaced. colour coding makes it easy to figure out how to use it.
