It was a big jump for me to spend $30 on a tire gauge when I was used to spending $2. In order to move a truck and fifth wheel, I needed at least 100 pounds. The gauge I'm using is nice. I like the length of the valve. It makes it really easy to hold. My Ford truck's gauge does not say exactly what the pressure should be, but Ford warns not to trust its gauge and to use a good hand gauge instead. In order to know what tire pressure to use, you need to know a few things. Do not rely on Ford for a good gauge. Buy a quality gauge from a reputable vendor and test it against Discount Tire, which may or may not have a similar gauge.
Engineers recommend Milton because of its reputation for accuracy, as well as the fact it is manufactured in the United States. Amazon is not a good place to buy it. In addition, Amazon sent it in an unprotected, uncushioned envelope for an item of such delicate nature (a single drop can throw off the calibration by as much as 5 psi).
Despite my reservations about tire pressure gauges, I am totally satisfied with this product. I find it amazing that at truck stops, the Chinese knockoffs cost the same as the originals. Do not waste your money on those and instead get this high quality product made in the USA.
Tire gauges such as this one are primarily for users who desire accurate tire pressure measurements, who should be, of course, everyone. It's easy to use, easy to read, and easy to.
It was excellent.
This was a great quality product! The calibration tool was included and it was.
There is a substantial amount here. The operation was smooth. The accuracy has yet to be checked, but it seems like it will be adequate for my needs. I would definitely buy from them.
A versatile tool.
