Questions & Answers

How come my dial does not work (says 4 when it ought to ?

the one I have, I push out the needle about half way, then move the unit (on its flat base) to a very flat surface, such as I find my unit to read exactly zero when the needle has fully retracted and the unit is flat on the flat surface. To zero your unit, make sure that you push the needle (gently) against the flat surface that you will be seating it on.

I bought one of your interstate tg 32 dial type tire tread gauges. Thanks for the great gauge! When you release the button on top, is the gauge supposed to go back to zero?

This device is not designed to return to zero after a push rod is released. Using this method, you can remove your tire's tread depth gauge and accurately read the tread depth. To zero the dial, you need to push the gauge rod back into place until it is flush with the body of the tool. You're welcome! Thanks for asking!

As there are variations in colors on the faces, please clarify Red 0 is the result I expect 2 of the yellow/green color family It comes with a black metal housing and 5 green LEDs. Could you please provide me with advice?

The unit was just picked up by me. Changes have been made to the zones and colors. The following is an example of a written sentence *br Red *3, Blue *2, Green *1- This is an interesting little unit with six yellow LEDs and six green LEDs. The new gearing, as well as the metal body, allow for greater If it is zero, it is no longer alive A surface plate can be used. In addition to the gearing and plunger tension being quite high, the plunger doesn't move easily (which is a Regardless, it's much better than it appears from the retail price of $9.

Do you know if it is durable? Is it possible for me to carry it in my bdu uniform while checking CMVs without worrying about damaging it?

While I am not entirely certain what bdu's or cmv's are, they are both generally It would not cause me any concern if it failed. A scratch could potentially occur if the dial is kicking around in a toolbox, but it came with a pouch that prevents that. You can easily see the dial on this watch.

The impression is not good
3/5

Although it works, it is not very easy to use. After measuring depth, the device is very sticky, and prompting excessive force must be applied to retract the probe. I notice the case looks like it has a bad paint job (I realize this is only There is no guarantee it will be as smooth as a Starrett dial indicator, but who would expect it to be What do you think of 95? In the interior, I sprayed brake cleaner and WD-40 For the first 40, use your fingers to try and There had been some improvements recently, including an easier way to reset the unit The bottom line is that this is a cheap product, made in China. My opinion on this product is to avoid it. My recommendation would be to find a simpler item on an auction site which is made using a two-step process It costs about $4 and is made up of plastic sliding mechanisms. I haven't purchased this alternative device, but it appears it will be a more reliable device than this one. I'm not sure how inaccurate it will be, but it looks to be a better alternative to.

The software works as expected

That's about it. It should be possible for moving parts on a tire gauge to move freely, according to me. As you can see, the gauge depth needle had been stuck since factory delivery. The best solution would be to clean the gun with alcohol to remove any factory lube and use rifle lube once you have cleaned it with alcohol or if quality and longevity are imperative, then use gun oil. This is WD-40. over time will gum up, which will force you to repeat this initial process. Since I believe all of them are made by the same factory with just different screens- Inserts printed on paper. need to calibrate the needle, just take off the front face and adjust it to your liking.

It was compared
5/5

I'm amazed at how great this device is! It left a lasting impression on me. I found them to be very sturdy and easy to read, in contrast to those that look more like hexagonal pencils, like the one I returned, that I found difficult to read and contained organic material suspected to be carcinogenic. You could use the other type of meter if you want to verify quickly that your remaining tread depth is within the green area. But for a few dollars more you could use this one. You push the solid steel rod down and then measure how far your tread is. It's all there is to For reading tread depth, it is not necessary to wear magnifying glasses.

The alternate makers (blue housing) unit is available for purchase
3/5

Several gauges have a bounce back effect when used, where the gauge moves when the tire is removed from it and where the needle moves if the gauge is tapped. Alternative manufacturing version (blue housing) did not have these issues and was very smooth. In addition, they screwed up the colors of the gauge dial, mine has yellow starting at 6/32 and that is much higher than you'd expect.

Product is extremely well made and I was quite impressed with the weight and quality, especially after all the crap out there nowadays
5/5

The way such products should be made should be like this. It is also nice and tight on the mechanism. We hope that this is the beginning of something new. At this stage, there is no reason to believe it will not perform well for many years to come.

The quality of this piece is first-rate

This is an impressive product in terms of construction and heft. Based on the photos, I believed the case was made of There's no such thing as that. The metal is pot metal, so it is heavier than it looks. Here's a tip When you buy a pair of shoes on an auction site, it begins with “e” and ends with “y. ” Two of these can be found for about.

It's very nice and works great
5/5

According to its description, this item works as described. With this application you can easily check the tread depth of the tire on your own, so you are not dependent on the tire store man to tell you how deep it is. We casual users probably won't care to check tread depth more often than once every few years, and we aren't supposed to remember how deep the tread is. But the color-coded scale is great for us. This is a bad value.

If you are in the tire business, this course is essential
4/5

I've found it to be easy to read, accurate, and more ergonomic than the digital one I just purchased, as well as being well constructed. If I extend it the entire way and then push it into the tread, I find that it works better than if I set it on the tire and then push One of these may be purchased in the future.
