Questions & Answers

Are stainless steel components exactly what they claim to be? What's the difference between the head and the ?

The summary is that this is a cheap but reliable tire gauge that's just as good as the ridiculously expensive ones and will last at least You buy a new one with a bit of skin taken off your nose when it stops working. To be honest, I would not worry about the details if I were you. I promise you that once you buy it, you won't need to worry about it again. Here's my take, it's all up to you. That's a start, I hope it helps. Since this gauge goes up to 75 psi, I can use it on my bike, which is a big advantage to me.

What happens when my mom goes out of town and I have to use this pipe?

Your answer seems reasonable to me Using a sharp knife, remove the white middle sliding component from the tubing to make it hollow

For these to work properly, do they require periodic lubrication? When yes, please provide the following information What kind of lubricant should I apply to the moving part?

I would suggest that you do not lubricate these gauges because they rely on air pressure to measure accurately, and that could negatively impact their performance. In order to keep gauges in working condition, they should be kept clean and dry.

I was surprised to find that these are accurate
5/5

The thought of dialing-up crossed my mind There are different types of gauges. I have two with solid brass fittings, I was told The first one was killed by my son using it on truck tires with almost double the maximum pressure he should have used, and the other appeared to differ considerably, leaving me unsure which was closer to As a result, I have decided to spend less money, since we seem to lose and abuse these often. Upon arrival, I checked the pressure on them to make sure they were the same. It was very surprising to find these to be accurate. I recently had our car serviced, and the mechanic inflated the tires to the same pressure and checked with an accurate gauge before we left the shop. Based on the pressure gauges, I found that all 4 gauges were accurate to that 40 PSI. There was a 6 PSI difference between my dial gauge and my actual pressure! A pencil gauge would be higher as well (like 15%) and the older gauge would be a little lower. There are 2 things I want to mention that do make you think just a little. 1) They are lighter than the much older pencil gauges - maybe half their weight It doesn't make them any less durable just because they have less mass The method is certainly not harmful to 2) The range of these goes up to 75 PSI (as indicated As a result, 40 PSI is near the middle of the range, a bit higher than the placards on my cars suggest. My other gauges haxed out around 50, so the number on this gauge is a bit smaller than my other gauges. This will likely work for you if you want to check the doughnut spare that you may well have. The recommended atmosphere for my guns is 60 PSI, but I have heard of some guns with higher pressure. The range of this is very suitable for light truck tires as well as car.

Metal is only present in the device's head
3/5

The device's body is made of It appears that the product does not contain plastic despite claims made in the product bulletins (which I have brought to your attention) and responses to other reviews by customer support. I should have included a picture of the box that indicates the metal is only on the _head_, not the entire mold. In my personal opinion, I was very disappointed, since I did not want a plastic device, and the claims made in the product bulletins and responses from customer support made me I consider this to be somewhat misleading (to be kind) advertising since it is plastic.

Two for the price of one! I love it
5/5

Despite their simplicity, they are easy to read and use. As far as accuracy goes, I am unable to comment, since I have no means of comparing it to, or verifying, the accuracy of the other tool used. But, love it when it comes to a two pack since we have two vehicles that have a maximum psi of 45 Those numbers are 55 and 56 There was a suggestion that it is best to get a personal tire pressure gauge that is narrow enough to fit your needs (and for a more accurate reading of "your" vehicle) rather than a smaller one that reads as high as hundreds, which would be less accurate. An example of this can be found at gas stations, where they'll use a built-in tire pressure gage on their air pumps with high psi ranges. My personal vehicles always gave me an inaccurate PSI reading using those devices as opposed to the lower Psi tools that I carried in my car/SUV so that I wouldn't over- or under-pressurize my As a general rule, the larger the psi range, the less accurate it will be, at least in my experience.

Tire gauge of the simplest kind
3/5

Basically, these are the same old tire pressure gauges you see everywhere. You will be hurting yourself if you don't know how to use it. Driver's ed 101 might be a better place to start. This is easy to use and I have no problems. However, I think that the fact that out of the two that came in the box, one was pretty badly scratched makes me think it might be damaged. The fact that this was allowed to be sent out from wherever it came from without being inspected seems very sketchy. At first glance, it would have seemed like a sticker, but when I tried to scratch it off, my fingernail got damaged instead of scratched. This is not something I'm going to send back but I just wanted to let you know.

As you may have guessed, I'm nuts
4/5

Being prepared for emergency situations is really a big deal for me. I am sure I would survive the upcoming apocalypse in my truck, according to my kid. Okay, so anyways, I was building a "small, simple" tool roll for my bike. Just various things I think I would need if I were stuck on the side of the road. In my 40 years as a Harley rider, I have achieved many achievements. I've repaired things along the side of the road before. Well, I wanted a basic tire pressure gauge and an extra valve cap. It was just a bonus to have the second gauge. Those are the ones I tried. In order to verify the accuracy, I compared it to my actual The nearest emergency room is close enough for an accident. Deal of the day. The quality is not as good as it could be, but it is I would buy it again* Thanks for taking the time to read it.

A decent tire gauge of the standard style
5/5

Standard tire gauge that does its job well. The price is a little bit over $2 per There were several times I needed them but I did not want to buy expensive Milton models that cost $6 to $20 each. It came with 5 in the box as advertised. The plastic wrap covers each individual item. In the hand, it feels decent (not like it is about to snap). It consists of a variety of readings This is printed out in highly visible ink (PSI is the only one I use). One of the five units was slightly off on its read (two of the images reflect that). That is the only complaint I had. Several units reported that a tire at 30 psi was inflated, while a fifth was reported to be inflated to Keeping that in mind, it's been set back to a last-resort status.

I am satisfied with the purchase for the most part. A slightly off unit still means that the price, feel, and quality of the product make it more appealing. There are enough 5 star reviews for it to still be rated.

Classic gauge that is easy to use and inexpensive
5/5

My personal opinion on electronic gauges is that they do not provide better readings than this classic and are prone to failure (or running out of battery) when you need them most. This classic gauge is simple, accurate, cheap to replace, and less prone to failure.

Is very user-friendly and works perfectly
5/5

My digital tire pressure monitor only falls short of this device's ability to consistently record any tire pressure that needs to be changed. This product works like a charm and is easy to use and durable.
