There's no guarantee it will work on all steering wheels, but I suspect it will
The pin tool will work as well for tilt steering, but if you have tilt steering, and you need to remove the tilt mechanism, you will also need a pin tool for tilt steering. As of this writing, no tilt tool is included in this kit.
Besides the Lisle pin remover tool, I bought one as well. It is necessary to remove the lock plate with this tool.

I bought this item to use on my classic GM cars and it is a great value for the price. It didn't receive 5 stars because the listing said it came with a pin tool for tilt steering wheels, but it didn't come with one. According to the sticker on the tool case the pin tool is inside. However, I knew this item was not going to include this tool from previous reviews and from looking at the photos before I bought it. There needs to be an immediate correction of the misprint by the seller. There is a washer that goes between the nut and the locking plate tool that is not hardened, so I recommend that when compressing the steering wheel locking plate, you place a drop of oil on it. This tool is good for the price it is offered at.

The fact that this combines It worked perfectly for me, despite reading other reviews that pointed out that the bolts did not hold.
Definitely worth checking out this tool! It is neither as fancy nor as polished as a high dollar set, but it does the job well without any problems. In spite of the fact that the sticker on the box claims that the kit includes a pivot pin puller, this is not the case. The pictures of the tool kit clearly show that it isn't included, so it doesn't really matter to me. Since I didn't need that part, it's just annoying to me that it didn't appear in the kit. It was a good purchase. When you need a set like this, you NEED it, and this one worked well for me.
This kit contained all the tools I needed to service a GM steering column, which was the reason I purchased it.
Changing the ignition switch took me 25 minutes from start to finish, and this was my first time. Thanks to the lock plate tool, I was able to complete the job. The case is sturdy and of good Tools of this caliber are used in professional settings.
I was able to pull the steering column wheel from a jeep cj using this technique. Snap ring can be removed by compressing the lock. Purchased one kit instead of having to buy multiple.
It comes in different sizes that should work for nearly every steering column. The kit allowed me to pull a steering wheel for the first time and I had no problems. It is very easy to find everything in the plastic carrying case, as it keeps everything very organized.
On a 1980 Chevy Camaro, it was used for the teardown and rebuild of the steering column. Everything went smoothly without any issues of any kind. For the price, this is a really good deal!.
