I've been using Simple Green Extreme Aircraft Cleaner, which has a different formulation than the regular Simple Green. The Extreme Aircraft has performed admirably as a cleaner for more than a year; however, any water-based cleaner/solvent will have adverse effects on any exposed metal parts, such as the 'fusible link' linkage, which has begun to rust on my unit; additionally, the Extreme Aircraft, at the concentrations I'm using, between 2. 1 & 1. has resulted in some minor paint discoloration on the inside of the tub where it has been submerged. I'm also not using the OEM steel/chrome dispenser spout; instead, I'm using Loc-Tite Loc-Tite Loc-Tite Loc-Tite Loc-Tite Loc- Because of the water-based solvent, Line Plastic is a modular system.

It is suggested that you use a cleaning agent that is based on water.
