I'm not sure how long it'll last. First, the positives:
- It's a long hose that connects to a Shop-Vac. There are no adapters required for this vac unit.
- It fits the shop vac attachments to some extent, though the distal end is a little shallow and the fit isn't very tight or secure. So I used a few layers of electrician's tape to wrap that end, as well as the part of my Shop-Vac that was exposed. A hole in the vac extender pipe was used to secure the pipe connection. to prevent the vacuum from escaping
- I'm sure I'll use the tools when I clean my car because they're attractive. However, I purchased it to replace a 25-year-old Shop-Vac. Vac hose that had started to break down. br>br>And now for the bad news:
- I don't think this hose will last as long as the one it replaces. It is extremely light-weight. It's already creased in places where the vacuum has tipped over on it or been stepped on inadvertently. Despite the fact that the fittings on my 25-year-old hose have cracked to the point of being unusable, the hose itself is in excellent condition. I thought I was getting a good deal on a hose of the length I wanted. br>br>I thought I was getting a good deal on a hose of the length I wanted. br>br>I thought I was getting a good deal on a hose of the length I wanted. br>br>I thought I It was, I believe, less expensive than hoses of comparable length from other vendors. I expected a high standard of quality because of the Craftsman name. I'm surprised that something with the name "Craftsman" could be so flimsy, but every brand has a heyday and then a slide, so I'll be looking at everything I buy from them more closely in the future.
You can see in the photos that one side has a 1 1/4" connection for vacuum attachments, while the other side has a 3" connection for use with a standard shop vac, which I didn't notice in the description. br>I purchased this to replace the 1 1/4" hose on my Craftsman mini-vac. It is no longer possible to obtain a shop vac with 1 1/4" connectors on both ends. Fortunately, I was able to save my old broken hose and swap one of the old connectors onto the new hose, giving me exactly what I required.
It's a great length. Attachments were not required. They are already in your possession. This is a replacement hose for those who already own a vacuum cleaner. They should have used the same plastic that was used to make the attachments to make a thicker, more durable hose. The hose is frail and frailly constructed. Why is it that every business prefers to sell in bulk rather than in quality? They believe that in order for me to feel like I'm getting something, I need to see a bunch of things grouped together. I'm looking for a high-quality product, but all I get is a bunch of junk. What a letdown Craftsman has become over time. In 1980, I switched to Craftsman for all of my tools. Craftsman no longer seems to care about quality, so I now purchase other brands. That is all that needs to be said.
This set came with a craftsman adapter so I could connect a shop vac hose to it. These attachments are tiny, as other reviewers have stated, but they must be tiny to fit into the crevices of an automobile, which is why I purchased them. My shopvac, on the other hand, has no suction when using these attachments. Nothing is properly sucked up by the brush on the two pieces with brushes, which simply brushes around the lint or dirt. The end adapters do not fit properly onto the included angle adapter, etc. br>br>I am unable to recommend this product.
(This is NOT a new hose. ) My shop vac is a Craftsman 4 gallon wet/dry. It has a 6-foot hose, but I wanted to clean some of my tall furniture or dust-collecting shelves without having to drag up a stepladder with my regular upright vacuum cleaner. A 6-foot hose is insufficient to reach tall objects. Please note that this attachment comes with a hose adapter and is NOT a replacement for your shop vac. You connect the 11-foot hose to your 6-foot hose using the hose adaptor. Instead of dragging a vacuum cleaner up the ladder with you, you now have a 17-foot flexible hose to reach dusty high shelves or bookcases. If you require a REPLACEMENT hose for your vacuum, you must order a separate item. When vacuuming a large car, SUV, van, boat, or RV, having an extra length of hose will come in handy. It prevents you from dragging your vacuum cleaner every few steps.
These products perform as expected; however, do not use them on a large vacuum with a large motor because they severely restrict airflow, causing the large motor to burn out. I would not use these on any shop vac larger than 2 1/2 gallon. Even so, you shouldn't use these for long periods of time because the motor will overheat trying to force all that air through such a small opening. When used with caution, as they should be, these are ideal for the task at hand. However, you must ensure that you are not using an excessively large shop vac.
I bought these so I could use my Craftsman 2-in-1. Smaller items, such as computer keyboards, can be cleaned with a gal. shop vac. The attachments fit on the adapter, which fits the vacuum hose. As a result, I now have a lot of vacuum power to clean keyboards, computer cases, fans, and other items. I can also use these attachments by connecting to the vacuum's blower side. It's not quite the same as canned air, but it's close. br>Please keep in mind that these are SMALL attachments intended for use on smaller jobs. br>I deducted a star because they are overpriced in my opinion.
Since the arrival of shopvac. Although com is no longer available, this kit allowed me to continue using our 20-year-old shop vacuum. Because we have hardwood floors, we use it in our home. The extra length is useful both inside the house and in our cars, as it reduces the number of times we have to switch outlets. Plastics of excellent quality. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be The hose that connects to the extension tubes (which came with our vacuum) is a little short, so be aware that if you have the long tubes, they may pull out of the hose when you least expect it.
