To have a second spray gun that already has the spray wand attached so switching guns would only require a quick swap of the air hose, I purchased an ABN spray gun. My ABN gun has a really long siphon pipe that won't fit the threads of the HDX spray bottles that I plan to use and I will have to use another bottle. (By the way. Astro 4538 bottle of $2 HDX fits perfectly on the $2 HDX bottles. So, I took the spray tip from the ABN gun and put it on the Astro gun so I can easily swap out the wand when needed. I will install the Astro spray tip on the ABN gun along with a length of siphon pipe to feed the liquid from a gallon jug. I will then try both guns while using the ABN gun with the Astro spray tip installed. Although the ABN gun I have costs $14 and the cheapest spray wand I could find for the Astro gun is over $20, I am still ahead even if I only use the spray tip and wand. I like the feel of this Astro gun in comparison.
Here's the little guy that just made my truck look nice. Using a 20lb compressor, I spray used motor oil in a fine mist. It did a pretty good job. To store this I bought a 5 gallon bucket that had a sealable lid instead of finding a container that would fit it. To reach the bucket, run a hose from the feed on the gun. A small hole was drilled into the lid, quite similar to the hole on the cap of the gun, which was supposed to hold a container. Lastly, I used some really good putty to seal up the area where the hose is going through the bucket, but you could use caulking or other materials that work. I'm very satisfied with the performance of this gun, and for its price you can't beat it. The all metal body and mechanism ensure that this gun will last for many years, so long as I don't drop it on the trigger. It was my pleasure to help you.
This spray gun works well for Fluid Film, which I prefer as an undercoating. In general, I found the fluid film not to thin at about 80 PSI or so, as has been mentioned in other reviews. A gun comes with two lengths of pickup tubes one is long and one is short. To make it easier to get into tight spaces, it would be nice if there was a longer "barrel", but I won't complain for the price. In the past, I have clamped hoses on the barrel in order to get into those spots, but the hoses tend to fill up with fluid and the gun sprays fluid out of the vent hole. There are probably more experiments I should do, but I think it's also due to the viscosity of Fluid Film since it is so Despite the low price, this gun does not include a container or bottle, but again this is to be expected at this level. There are some chemical spray bottles I have laying around that fit, and I believe the Home Depot brand bottles are the same so they should also fit. The wide mouth style of chemical spray bottles should fit most of them. The tool worked well, and the tool is well built for only being $15 dollars. All in all I am happy with this purchase.
I am happy with the tool, and it does the job it needs to do. Choosing this gun again is something I would do, and I look forward to continuing to use it.
However, they seem to work well and to be well constructed otherwise.
Since it was slightly less expensive than the one from Upol/Raptor Liner, I bought it. After mixing my mix, I got ready to spray. However, the cap on the gun was too large for the neck of the bottle. Despite holding the bottle with one hand and the gun with the other, I finished the job, but it was not easy. There is nothing to complain about with this product. Please check the fitment of your footwear before purchasing.
The only reason for one star deducted is the lack of a It is true that the Home Depot sprayer bottle noted in another comment does fit, but it fails to hold up under vacuum as it is My current method is to use a white plastic multivitamin bottle that is much more rigid than a gun cap, which might help to increase the vent hole size. The structure is not collapsible and works well. It was a good idea to grab it from the recycle bin a long time.
I like it a lot! I used a sunny D bottle, but it didn't work well. Ideally, I would like to get a more sturdy bottle with better We recommend adding a swivel air hose adapter to our list of accessories! RUSTY frames are a thing of the past! I have an 80 W90 2 sets of 3 tubes each with 30 W at 3 sets and 1 red tube Hot grease, 8 cheap toilet rings, and 2 spray cans of cheap toilet cleaner are all it takes! Using used oils will make it more affordable! Groil U gets a nod.
We used it to apply 3M 08864 Body Schutz Rubberized Coating Black to the underside of our car trailer. Getting good results when spraying this stuff is all about mixing it thoroughly. I did not follow this step the first time, and the gun clogged. Despite the fact that I have no idea whether it was necessary, I thinned out the mixture by filling the bottles with lacquer thinner. It would not spray with this gun attached to the undercoating hose from the 3M undercoating gun, even thinned. There was a portion of it that went up the tube, but then it clogged.
