I decided to go with the 1/4-inch thick protector
5/5

I've only recently parked. I decided to go with the 1/4-inch thick protector. I simply parked the car where I usually do and opened both drivers' side doors to see where they would contact the wall. For the pads, I used that as a center. It's been measured to the exact length that's required. Wiped down the painted wall where the pads would be attached, began peeling back about six inches of the backing film, and slowly moved along my laser line, pressing down the pad while peeling more of the backing film as I went.

Kids will enjoy it
5/5

My wife and daughter always slam the Toyota doors against the wall when they open it because we have a small garage. After months of pleading and begging them to be more careful, I came across this useful product, which was easy to install and even worked on the dirty concrete wall I didn't feel like cleaning before putting the bumpers up. When family and friends see it, they are initially perplexed, but soon want a pair for their own garages. Since installing this product, my daughter has slammed her head against the wall about ten times, and the door has sustained no damage. br>br>It worked so well on their side of the garage that I had one installed on my side for my Tesla so I wouldn't have to worry about hitting the wall and damaging the car. This is a fantastic product that is also reasonably priced.

This is a fantastic door saver
3/5

UPDATED. Nice product at a reasonable price; I used it to protect the car door on my two-post car lift. It takes care to install, just like any adhesive, but once done, it's neat and effective, and it's less than a quarter of the price of the protectors designed for this purpose. I'm also confident that I'll be able to find a use for the leftovers. Common sense should be applied: If the surface isn't clean, dry, and reasonably smooth, it won't stick. Also, because it's only 1/4 inch thick, slamming a door into it may not be effective. UPDATE. The rubber began to separate from the adhesive mesh backing after a few days, rendering the product useless in this application. I was let down.

Doors are secure after a little more than six months, and this product is still affixed to the wall
5/5

I had a problem with a car door that was accidentally opened too wide and tapped into a section of the garage's concrete wall. As a result, I determined that I needed to investigate wall bumpers. I began by looking through the soft plastic rubber bumpers, which appeared to be adequate for the concrete wall, but I also needed to go around a portion of a doorframe. br>br>Then I came across the foam wall bumpers, which had better reviews than the others, were available in a thicker thickness, and the adhesive had a fabric weave to it, which helped it stay together in one piece. br>br>It's been a little over 6 months since I painted the walls, and what I did is still holding up. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. br>br>All I did with the concrete wall was get a damp towel and wipe away the dust and whatever else was on it. I let it dry overnight, then took measurements the next day to make sure the Ampulla wall guard was leveled, and that was the end of it. It hasn't moved. br>br>I repeated the process around a door frame in another area. Using a damp cloth, wipe down the area and allow to dry. Then I applied this product to the portion of the door frame where the automobile door might come into contact, and it conformed to the edges of the door frame, and it's stayed put for about 6 months. I've attached a photo showing how I used this product on a section of a door frame. So far, everything is going well. br>br>.

Dents occur far too frequently - It is simple to set up
3/5

This product was easy to install; the backing peeled off easily and it adhered firmly to a painted garage (drywall). The only problem is that I've only had it for a few days and have already noticed that it dents easily (the door simply rests against it). I've never been slammed in my life! I wish the foam was more resilient and bounced back, because I'm not sure how noticeable these dents are. While I'm debating whether or not to remove it from the wall, I did give it a try and found that it didn't damage the paint or stick to the wall.

Even in the sweltering heat of south Texas, it holds up exceptionally well
5/5

If you live in Texas, you're well aware that heat and adhesives don't mix well. I had no trouble using this to protect the drywall in my garage from scratches, as well as the car. The pad's surface texture is appealing, and the 1/4 thickness is the only size I'd consider purchasing because it appears to be the bare minimum required to provide adequate protection. So far, I've only needed to use one of the two pads because the doors of the two cars that might go there fit nicely on one, but it's nice to have the other in case I need to cover another area or something else. I had my spouse assist me with the installation, which went very smoothly thanks to the use of a level. I simply peeled a small amount of the backing and began at one end. While I was applying it, I kept it level and my spouse peeled the backing as we went. It only took a few minutes, and there were no problems with it sticking even around the edges. I did lay the roll out for a week on the floor to make it very flat, which may have helped us. If anything changes in the future, I'll update my review.

You're doing an outstanding job
4/5

For a couple of years, I had been looking for something similar to this. I have framed peg board on my side of the garage, and every now and then I'd get a little too close to the wall, and my doors would open into the frame of the peg board, resulting in paint damage to my old car. It would be very simple to install on a flat surface. br>br> It was a little tricky to mold the material in an elbow shape while rolling it out and pressing it to the wall because I was trying to cover part of a wooden frame that sticks out a little over a quarter inch from the wall and the wall just below the frame. In retrospect, cutting a strip wide enough to cover the bottom frame face and applying it to the frame face would have been a better option. Then apply the remaining paint to the dry wall. br>br>I did cut one of the rolls in half to assist with the installation. This made the installation a little easier for a single person. With a regular pair of scissors, the material was simple to cut. It's been up for about two months and appears to be in good shape.
