Questions & Answers

Is this fire extinguisher suitable for automobiles?

An ABC extinguisher is the type of fire extinguisher used in this situation. It can put out any type of fire, so if you have a fire in your car, you can use this fire extinguisher to put it out. However, these types of fire extinguishers contain a chemical powder that puts out the fire; if the fire is in your engine, you can use this fire extinguisher to put it out, but getting this chemical powder all over your engine is probably not a good idea. Using a CO2 fire extinguisher is the best option. This is the type you'll see on television the most. Has a huge cone-shaped horn-shaped horn-shaped horn-shaped horn When you use it, it appears to be emitting plumes of white smoke. This is carbon dioxide, which is extremely cold and acts as a fire extinguisher.br>br>You can find one of these in almost any mechanic's garage. A CO2 fire extinguisher is much more expensive than an ABC fire extinguisher, as you might expect. For your needs, a small 5 pound CO2 extinguisher would suffice. A new one will probably set you back around $200. You can also contact your local fire department to see if they have a small (5 lb.) fire extinguisher. They may be able to sell you a used but reconditioned CO2 extinguisher. Inform him that it is for your personal use only, and that you will pick it up from their store. (By the way, there's no need or requirement for any kind of annual service or inspection unless you keep a fire extinguisher and a place of business.) ) A small CO2 extinguisher that has been reconditioned should cost no more than $100. (The term "reconditioned" simply refers to the extinguisher having been used and refilled with CO2.)

Is there a way to restock it?

Unlike most other fire extinguishers, this one cannot be refilled after 12 years of use. After 12 years, First Alert no longer supports this product and no longer sells the hydro- adapter to be tested Rather than wasting money on a refillable fire extinguisher, invest in a serviceable fire extinguisher that can be filled and is hydro-powered. Every 12 years, you will be tested.

Is there a certain amount of agent in it?

5 lbs.

Is this a family-friendly movie?

Yes. The cyclinder label clearly states this.

I've received an empty bottle
3/5

There was no charge on the item when it arrived. It was not possible to replace the item. br>As a result, we now have an empty bottle of air that is useless.

Be aware that First Alert will not stand behind their work, and Amazon will do nothing to help you
3/5

The pressure gauge on the extinguisher was mounted backwards when I received it. br>I immediately contacted Amazon to return it for a replacement, but Amazon told me they couldn't help me and that I needed to contact the manufacturer directly. After that, I contacted the manufacturer, who informed me that they would not stand behind their product or workmanship, and asked if I could read the gauge - I told them that if I stood on my head, I might be able to read it, and that this was a true safety factor in an emergency. They told me that there was nothing they could do as long as the gauge could be read and that "we will not stand by the quality of our product. " I then told them that I would file a complaint on Amazon, which they said was a good idea because Amazon wouldn't do anything either. So much for Amazon's preferred manufacturers. I'm guessing they didn't look into their customer satisfaction records before taking on First Alert's products. Both Amazon and First Alert are to be avoided.

The battery is barely charged
3/5

When I received these two fire extinguishers, I was surprised to see that their charge indicator was barely in the "charged" range, indicating that they needed to be recharged. I don't think they're old stock because they're both labeled 2019, but I'm guessing they're seconds or worse, didn't pass their pressure test, so I wouldn't buy them.

I quickly lost my charge
3/5

I don't like it; it lost its charge three months after delivery, and I'm hoping there isn't a fire in the interim.

The container was empty when it arrived
3/5

I bought this on Prime Day, and as soon as I opened it, I checked the pressure gauge, which showed that it was completely empty and that it needed to be recharged all the way to the left. When I tried to get a refund, it said I wasn't qualified. I was able to contact Amazon directly to request a refund, which allowed me to avoid losing money on a defective item.

Make sure you don't throw your money away
3/5

The fire extinguisher was completely depleted when it arrived. The inside of the box was covered in fire retardant. Both the safety ring and the zip tie were taken off.

Good value for money
5/5

Because of adoption agency requirements, I had to purchase this for my home. It was the best value for the money, so I simply had it inspected at a local shop in town for a low price. It was also convenient to install because it came with a hook. Hook anchors should, of course, be used.

There is no cost or obligation, and there are no refunds
3/5

The fire extinguisher was free of charge. It could easily pass for a paperweight.
