Questions & Answers

"No more lifting," the ad says. "The instructions state that the supplying and receiving tanks should be kept at the same level. So, why is this happening? Is it one of these?

My boat is completely filled. The gas can is on the dock, and the boat's gas tank is about a foot or two above the gas can's top. The pump works fine; what they're saying is that you can't use the gas hose to fill something 4 feet higher than a gas can by going straight up with the hose. When people say no lifting, they're referring to the fact that they're not standing over the item they're filling, holding the gas can while pouring the gas in. If I want to fill up my portable generator with gas, it'll take about an hour. 3 feet above the ground I'll bring my 6-gallon container with me. Lift the gas can with the pump and place it on a milk crate, my shop stool, or anything else that will safely support the gas can. I then take the pump hose and connect it to the generator, turn it on, and walk away. I'm not standing over the generator with a gas can in my hand, pouring gas into it. That's what it means when you say "no lifting."

What do I need to do if I use this for diesel and then want to use it for gas? What's the best way to get rid of it?

if you don't want to purchase a new one for each. This is what I do: I clean the part that will be immersed in the gas tank and run it for a short period of time to remove any traces of diesel.

Is it possible to get gas from a car with this device?

This pump's suction tube will not be able to remove gas from a vehicle. The only way it MIGHT be possible is if the fuel tank was removed from the vehicle and the pump was inserted from the top of the fuel tank, where the float is located.

We store our goods in a refrigerated tractor trailer. Is this capable of reaching a tank on a tractor trailer? Is that the right tank for it?

If you're referring to the reefer's belly tank on the trailer, it should be fine. Keep in mind that the discharge hose will control the lift, so the worst-case scenario would be to place the supply tank on a raised block.

This is a good idea that isn't carried out well
3/5

I was overjoyed when I discovered this pump. It would, I reasoned, solve the problem of our teenagers filling up our personal watercraft with gas. Because of the inconvenient placement of the fill tube, using a standard gas can necessitates sufficient strength to control 5 gallons of gasoline at shoulder height while also being able to tilt the can when the watercraft fuel tank is full. I thought this pump was going to be amazing! br>br>Unfortunately, this was not the case. The pump had a lot of flaws.
1. A normal 5 gallon gas can will not fit through the pump's standard connection.
2. This problem can be solved with one of four adapters, but the adapters do not change the pump; instead, they change the can. This means that in order to use the pump, you must first screw on the adapter, then the pump. This necessitates keeping track of a strewn adapter.
3. The watercraft's fill opening is far too far away for the supply hose to reach.
4. This meant that for refueling, the can had to be attached to the watercraft rather than the dock.
5. We discovered that the connection between the adapter and the pump was not positive, resulting in gasoline spilling out onto the watercraft after we installed the pump on the watercraft and turned it on.
6. I attempted to make the connection more secure. It, however, was ineffective. I'm not sure where the leak was because I immediately stopped using the pump and reattached the nozzle to the can, completing the refueling process without incident. It took me an extra 15 minutes to clean up a gasoline spill.
7. It would be a problem even if the pump had worked perfectly. Consider the situation where you need to insert a supply tube into a can. You must remove it after you've finished refueling, which means you're dripping fuel from the supply tube. Even if the pump was left attached to the can until it was used again, the supply tube must be removed from one can and threaded into another. As a result, gasoline will inevitably drip onto the surface on which the cans were placed. I'm not a big fan of dripping gasoline all over the place. br>br>Avoid this pump at all costs, in my opinion. I'll be returning it because it poses a risk to the user as well as the environment.

Be cautious about the pump's quality and the TeraPump company's reputation
3/5

Pump functioned well for about 12 uses over the course of a year before developing a leak. Customer service refused to help me other than to say that if I send it back (at my expense), they will fix it and charge me for it. The pump comes with a one-year warranty, according to the manufacturer.

Because the power button failed to stay on, the auto off feature stopped working, and the pump speed appeared to be reduced to a trickle, my unit, like many others, did not last more than 8 months of irregular use
3/5

I got around the power button problem by holding it down, which was a minor annoyance, but I assumed it would still turn off when the receiving tank was full. That assumption turned out to be incorrect, and it was later discovered that, even with new batteries, the pump's overall speed had degraded. Not good. The concept is great, and the pump worked perfectly when I first got it, but for the price and simplicity of the product, I expected it to last at least a year, if not more. It would be worth revisiting if the company addressed the issues with durability and build quality, but not in its current form.

Filling power equipment, quads, and other vehicles with a quick transfer pump
4/5

This product mostly does what it says on the tin, and it's even better than I expected. I'm glad I got it, and I'll use it whenever I need it! br>Our main focus is on a few 5-star hotels. I believe the pump unit could fit in a smaller container if it wasn't too small, but larger than the standard 5-gallon gas container. In a tank much larger than a gallon container, I doubt it would be able to reach all of the fuel. br>I was looking for a way to fill up my riding mower, quads, log splitter, generators, and many of the other power tools and equipment we own without having to balance a 5-gallon bucket. I was carrying a gallon gas container on my knee and frequently spilling gas during many of the fill-ups. ups due to the filling balancing act br>It came in the red and white box shown to match my photos. br>Three adapters for various sizes and types of portable gas containers are included in the box to replace the cap on the container with one that allows the pump to attach to it. br>I needed the mid-sized plastic fuel container for my plastic fuel container. br>The pump is a one-size-fits-all device, but I'll keep all of the adapters in case I need them for other containers in the future. br> a 5-piece unit with one end set into the 5-piece unit with one end set into the 5-piece unit with one end set into the gallon gas tank with the battery pack/pump connected to the adapter via a collar on the pump body that tightens down on the black adapter installed on the container br>It takes four AA batteries, but the directions said it "could" work with two, so I went ahead and installed all four. br>There are clearly marked buttons, green for on and red for off, as shown in the photos. br>A wire runs partway up the funnel end's tip, and when the liquid reaches that point, it is supposed to automatically stop the fuel transfer. That function did not work when I first tried it on my Craftsman riding mower. That is why I only gave it four stars rather than five. I'll always use the off button to stop the fuel flow now that I know not to trust the stop feature. br>The buttons are light touch pushes, and the transfer is both quick and quiet. When you're finished, hold up the fill end of the hose and let the gas back into the tank, according to the directions. That didn't completely empty the fuel line, and no matter what I tried, there was still a small amount of gasoline in the plastic hose's lower end. I'm confident because it's made of corrugated plastic, which allows fuel to accumulate in the hose. The filler end is then clipped into a slot built into the side of the pump housing, and you're finished. br>In the directions, it states that with this pump installed on the container, fuel will leak out if the container falls over, so be careful where you place the container with this pump attached. br>Now that I have it, I would recommend it to anyone who is considering one for the same reasons I was. Many, but not all, gas-powered engines can be filled quickly and easily with this method. Small fuel tanks, such as those found in weed eaters and chainsaws, will not work with this transfer pump. If you try, you will get fuel all over the place because the fuel flow is too high!.

I'm simply going to upgrade my equipment
3/5

Thank you, Korea, for providing such a wonderful opportunity. For the past 11 months, I've been using the pump. I haven't used the pump in about four months, and I've only used it once in the last six months. 8 times. The original batteries are included as well. I used the pump this week and discovered that it was leaking gasoline. The switchbox is where the hose meets the switchbox, and this is where the leak is. The unit is leaking at the connection between the hose and the switchbox, which appears to be a collar. I made contact with the vendor. I'll have to ship the unit back to them so they can examine it. It is not worth the money to have something boxed up and shipped instead of the seller "looking at it. " I'm simply going to upgrade my equipment. Thank you, Korea, for producing such a low-cost item!.
