Save yourself the trouble of having to purchase additional pumps, as I did for my liquid soaps. All of the metal ones I've purchased for my shop have been of the same design and have always failed or been difficult to use. This is the simplest 55 gallon drum pump I've ever used, and I'll definitely be ordering more once the other two fail, as everything in this world does. Pumps are fantastic.
It appears to have been designed to meet my requirements. For 20 55 gallon water barrels, I bought a couple of them. Only time and more use will tell how long they will last, but for the time being, they are highly recommended.
I filled one 55 gallon plastic drum in the pickup and transferred it to another drum for the generator. It took me about 20 minutes to complete this task.
Our company rents out vacation cabins. The bottoms of our hot tubs are filled with sand and small gravel. The drum siphon is a great way to get rid of the grit without having to drain or clean the hot tub.
It worked great the first time I tried it.
It's also a STEAL. It's what I use to get diesel out of barrels. I purchased a second one because it was such a good product.
