Having used these pumps for gasoline, the first time I used them, I found them to be easy to use and fill quickly. I couldn't get it to work the second time. The siphon could not be sucked into it nor held in. Initially, I thought maybe I had gotten a bad one and that it was a good thing I bought two. I again found the new one to work like a charm the first time I used it. In the second attempt, it seemed to suck up the fuel without any issues, but it had a lot of bubbles in it and To make sure I had something on hand while waiting on a different pump, I filled up my barrel with a 5 gallon can so that I would have something to fill my lawn tractor with while I waited. Little by little, I was able to pump 5 gallons in about 20 minutes. Although I can't speak to how well it works for other liquids, I can say that it did not work.

A second one was bought. For water there is one and for gas there is another. I've used it in 15 gallon containers and it was better than I expected. There was only a small amount of trimming to do to the tubing.
