CONTROLS CYLINDER COMPRESSION TESTING --- This cylinder compression tester kit is used for checking gas pressure in oxygenated engines. In addition, the gauge readings can help to diagnose if there are any of the following problems valve sticking, carbon buildup, a cracked cylinder head or defective main gasket, worn or poorly seated piston rings or burned pistons.
This is the standard connector for gasoline engines, I.e. it comes with different sizes rotary and push on adapters, which are applicable to most types and depths of spark plug wells found in gasoline engines. Examples motorcycle, car, truck, lawn mower, ATV, etc. A DIESEL ENGINE IS NOT SUPPORTED.
The 10-in-1 engine tester gauge kit includes a 1-piece spring buckle gauge, five brass adapters for widespread applications, two straight and angled connectors for direct testing, and an extra-length 8-inch extension tube and 16-inch extension hose for reaching the engine.

Small engines will be able to run on it.
Do you know if this will work with Duramax LB7 batteries?
You should be able to use it if you get a set with a working gauge and properly threaded fittings.
Does the kit allow you to do a running compression test?
In short, yes.
Has the extension tube as well as the hose tip been engineered with a Schrader valve?
In the tip of the hose, yes in the extension tube, no.

I highly recommend you do not purchase this compression tester kit. As an alternative to the harbor freight tester that gives inaccurate results, I bought this one. In the end, I received a harbor freight tester with a different dial face that will not provide readings and a rubber cover that is not included There are a lot of problems with the adaptors, and one of them even has chips on it The solid tubes appear to be made of pot metal, and I imagine that they would break if you put enough pressure on them to hold in place. Though the case seems nice, it is a bit heavy.

All the hoses, gauges, extenders, and fittings fit neatly inside the case, and there are compartments for them. A slight increase in size of the dial
markings/graduations would have been appreciated.
