Questions & Answers
I put it on my 1997 Ford F150 and it works great! It will work perfectly if you know how to connect it to your vehicle. It's a fairly simple process.
Yes, this is a universal; all you have to do is tap into the wires; no plug is required.
Are you unsure about the nature of your inquiry? However, if your dolly has electric brakes and your truck is properly set up with the Hopkins controller, everything should work fine. The Hopkins controller is not a BRAKE in and of itself; it is a control module that sends commands to a braking system. I hope that this information is useful.
Yes, but you'll need to do some research to determine which brake power wire to connect to. On my 04 express van, I did it. It's fantastic.

Using the Hopkins 47635 Plug-in, this works great on our 2009 Frontier pickup. I already had a two relay tail light control on the truck by the passengers door behind the kick wall in Simple Brake Control cord. They plugged right in, and it was only a 15-minute job. That refers to the electrical plug; I believe it is used to prevent the tow vehicle from blowing the fuses on your tail lights if something goes wrong.
Simple to install and adjust so that when the trailer is empty, the brakes do not lock.
My Ram 2500 came with the tow package, so all I had to do was splice wires (all of which were clearly marked), tape, tuck, and mount it. This device is more effective than anticipated. You won't have to fiddle with your control as much, and the readout will make quick adjustments for different load weights or trailers a breeze. I tow a large two-horse trailer with a tack room, as well as my friend's car hauler, which is loaded with a small Ford tractor and a slew of utility trailers. Highly recommended; I'm glad I didn't take my neighbor's advice and spend $150 or more on one of the more expensive units! Must admit that we aren not the sexiest looking but we are trying to slow down right, lifetime guarantee, I will take it, 100% satisfied!.
br>It's great that I was able to find a match.
This is the first time I've owned a brake control. This is a 'timer' style control, which my Dexter trailer brakes' manual specifically advised against. It works fine, and I'm not going to spend a lot of money when all I'm towing is a 3500-pound trailer. I also purchased the Hopkins 47275 installation kit, which eliminated the need for procrastination during installation. When everything is delivered to your door, there are no more excuses!.
Item was delivered on time and in good condition. The delivery was on time.
It was exactly what I needed, but I only gave it four stars because it would be easier to install if it had a plug to plug into the harness.
In comparison to the more well-known controllers, it's difficult to dial in the perfect level. With the vehicle-specific connectors, installation is a breeze.
