Questions & Answers

In addition to the air bleed, does the ABS module also lose air?

A ABS module can be either one of two types. There is an OPEN and CLOSED type of The brake system and ABS module can be bled normally with an OPEN system because it is a flush system and the fluid flows through it. On the other hand, a CLOSED system requires a separate bleeding procedure to open up the internal solenoid valves to allow the brake fluid to flow. It is a longer and more involved process that requires additional tooling or step-by-step instructions. Refer to the manual of the vehicle manufacturer for further Okay, so now you want to know whether you have a CLOSED or OPEN A good way to find out is to consult the manual for the specific vehicle and find out how to perform the final steps after replacing a brake caliper, master cylinder, ABS module, or any other component that requires you to open it up. You will be prompted to bleed the brake system after going through any of the procedures I mentioned. You probably have an OPEN system if there is no mention of a special process to bleed the ABS module separately. In most newer vehicles today, the system is open, making bleeding and flushing more straightforward. In the early days of ABS, I believe the systems were closed, but I'm sure there are some late model vehicles that have this system as well. OK, that's it for Thank you. I hope this was helpful.

Exactly how do you make use of ?

There are 3 ways to bleed air from your brake system. You fill up a container with brake fluid, attach it to the master cylinder, connect the hose with the correct nostril, open the hose until there is no more air coming out, and then you vacuum it.

Is there anyone who knows how to use the MVA801 There's no fittings on that cap, isn't it?

The master cylinders equipped with dual caps use this component. The other side of the mastercylinder is then sealed off with that. The factory mastercylidee caps do not effectively hold or support pressure, as they are not intended to. As a result, if you just kept the factory cap on, the brake fluid would fill the reservoir and leak from the reservoir when the cap is removed.

When the master cylinder is inflated, what is the common pressure used? Does 10psi work? What's 20 psi?

In our case, we use 10 psi. The 20 we have also used did not make any difference to me personally. We use 10 psi to minimize bubbles in the pressure line. The unit does produce a lot of bubbles in the pressure line.

As a result, they I'd like to talk about (10) of 10
3/5

The repair shop I own has a high volume of work. Every one of them leaks and I've had at least ten of them. Despite the leaks, we continue to use them. They are a good product, but we cannot stop using them. (Be careful when applying good and easy, but it seems strange to me why they don't provide a better fitting or union at this price. We quit returning them and just deal with the leak. (The fact that they now sell the union separately obviously tells us something. ) Could the price be so high because it's an existing kit made by a well-known brand? It would be easier to do it myself if I pieced together a tank and adapters However, these adapters still use the old PITA chain style, which won't seal above 12 psi, and it will crack the reservoir if you can even get the clamp under and clamp according to instructions. This digression is a digression. As far as we're aware, it's still used with the union wrapped in a rag. A total of two units are available. The dots 3 and 4 indicate the points It makes it a lot However, it is better than yelling "I need a foot" at the top of your lungs. Getting angry at your boss is a must if you want him to be happy. My word is your bond.

There were a few design problems
3/5

Due to this, some adjustments were made. That's the first thing I'd like to say. After attaching it to the compressor, the valve I use to cut off the air, or to turn it on, started leaking as soon as I turned it off. When you put your finger by it, you could detect a sense of pressurized air coming out. On top of that, smoke was also escaping through the exhaust pipes, so it was easy to see that the mechanical design was flawed. My first attempt was to tighten the screws on each side, but this didn't work. When I took the on/off valve apart, I saw that there was a rubber o-ring One end of the valve had a wear ring, so I greased it with 10w-20 The air leak in the off position persisted after I put it back together. As far as bleeding brakes, it worked fine. I have a 50 gal top-of-the-line craftsman air compressor and 150 psi going to the brake As usual, since I didn't want to return the unit, I improvised with it. I found an alternative to the air leak and it solved the problem. A 1/4" lever ball valve and a 1/4" threaded brass fitting with a male and female end were all I needed. Previously, I had a 1/4" stainless bolt that was about 2 1/2" long, with 2 washers and a nut where the on/off valve was. Using the gasket maker on both sides of the washers, I drilled two holes in the middle of the bolt on either side of where the holes are originally positioned in the bleeder. When I had assembled everything and tightened the nut, I cut off the access to the bolt flush with the nut, and then I applied more gasket maker to the whole thing to seal it Now it works the way it should. Due to this, I am rating it 3 stars. That's really strange that every single person who bought this doesn't have a problem with it. Please bear in mind that you will more than likely have the same issue as I did.

Various cars can be bled at the same time from one large bleeding system tank
3/5

I have a set of adapters for import and domestic, but they leak! The brake pressure bleeder is an excellent product with assorted master cylinder adapters for nearly all domestic and imported cars. It does need some TLC, however. The components and fittings of the system must be inspected and minor repairs made. This bleeder system features a large reservoir tank, designed for a shop to service multiple domestic and imported cars, but is also ideal for home use. On average, we fill each car with half a tank or 2 liters of gas. The motive power brake bleeding kit has better quality components and quick disconnection fittings. It doesn't require individual master cylinder adapters, giving you the convenience of not having to buy those separately. The quick pressure release valve is extremely useful and prevents brake fluid from With the 1820 Brake Fluid Bottle Kit from Motive Products, this system works flawlessly. Remember to remove remaining brake fluid from the caliper bleeder valve using a small pick following the clean-up of the brake fluid spill. Item list

Issues
- There is a slow air leak in the master cylinder adapters of the Hyundai and new putty tape needs to be installed. Despite 15 psi being displayed on the dispenser, the gauge was not holding. Before filling the dispenser with fresh brake fluid, make sure all fittings are double checked and the dry-test is conducted. I. - When the master cylinder adapter from Mercedes popped off in the middle of this procedure, we had to drain and clean the brake fluids from the The washer on the adapter cap was loose and did not seal properly in comparison to the European adapter from Motive Product. I. - The filter of the reservoir of brake fluid contained yellow rubberized particles. Another loose particle was found inside the fluid tank cap of the Mityvac. The last photo can be seen on the right. the cap is in good condition, that all dried yellow grease and dust are removed, and that a thin layer of silicone based lubricant is applied to the It was a waste of 4 liters of fresh fluids but safety is the main priority, so it is important not to use brake fluids that have It's - A quick release fitting is not universal and will not fit standard 1/4 NPT plugs. We were using our Motive product master cylinder adapters with 1/4 NPT plugs. The 1/4 NPT male quick release coupler does not hold tight and pops up twice during brake flushing. I. - Despite the fact that our two Motive brake bleeders and master cylinder adapters lasted almost 15 years with little or no maintenance, the Mityvac units required quick care before use and continued attention due to loose and custom quick release adapters. In order to be able to use all Motive Product master cylinder adapters we might swap all custom quick release fittings with 1/4 NPT plugs. It only took a little TLC to service my cars with a Mityvac MV6840 Hydraulic Brake Pressure Bleeding System from Mityvac. On a few cars, we had to replace brake lines, perform ABS bleeding, and follow up with pressure bleeding using Mityvac MV6840 to fix the spongy brake pedal. The quality control of Mityvac is not the best and we are not alone in dealing with problems with loose fittings and leaking air pressure. Other Amazon customers expressed similar concerns as well. These issues should be addressed by manufacturers, and we have experienced great success with Mityvac MV7300 and MV7201 fluid evacuation systems in our home and shop.
