They will stick to it if it has a velcro backing.
On a 5" backing plate, it will work fine.
White paste is something I'm not familiar with. This is an excellent pad for putting on the final coat of compound. Depending on how harsh the paste is, I don't think it will hurt. Slowly work with the paste in a small section to ensure it isn't too gritty. The ultimate compound is followed by the ultimate polish and finally the ultimate wax paste.
They are slightly larger than the backing plate, and the 5in designation simply means it will fit a 5in backing plate. The majority of pads are five inches in diameter. 25 or 6. 25-year-olds have a distinct advantage.

Our shop only requires a few Megs Microfiber cutting discs to handle everything from the softest to the most difficult paint. These pads have an open cell structure that I really like. It produces a far superior cut that, depending on the compound, finishes down beautifully. The Negs DA compound is the only one that we use. In addition, Polish is spoken. We've tried everything but the best and always come back to Cadillac Auto Detailing. br>br>Gregbr>Cadillac Auto Detailing br>Cadillac MI Ceramic Coatings.
This pad works well with my Harbor Freight DA Polisher; don't expect it to remove heavy defects, but it does a good job of removing light to medium defects. I used Meguiar's ultimate compound with it. A more intense compound may allow for better cutting. I have the orange hexalogic cutting pad from Chemical Guys, and it heats up very quickly, and I have found that this pad lasts longer than a similar one offered by Chemical Guys. I'd only bought one and had only used it a few times. As a result, after being used on and off for a few hours, it permanently sunk/shrinked in the middle/center and became somewhat unusable, whereas I used this Meguiar's pad in the same manner and it remained much cooler and developed no flaws.
Scrubbing dirty paint is a breeze with this tool. following a wash Prior to application of the seal. Heat is prevented by the porous surface, which also provides space for spent product and polishing leftovers. This is ideal for "dirty polishing. ".
I believe I've discovered my go-to pads. I tried it for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. br>I used it with a long throw DA, and as some of you may know, the rotation isn't always there because the pad stops rotating, but not with this pad; it never stalled. I believe it is due to the pad's thinness and flatness, as well as the absence of a hex design. br>I used it to remove water spots from a customer's new car, and it worked great in conjunction with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound.
Great foam pad, though if you have product in it and spin it off the surface, it will come apart from the base, so stop spinning with the pad on the surface you're working on, overall good product, if you want a better, stronger one, go with the microfiber option, though you'll have to choose which compound you want because the microfiber one cuts more than the foam one.
This is a fantastic pad that quickly polishes 3000 grit wet sanded paint to a nice shine. I use a Maxshine 15mm pro, and this is the first time I've used this pad. The speed with which it removed the paint was quite impressive. I recommend using light pressure and allowing the pad to do its job.
Great cutting power, cleans up well in the dishwasher, and is simple to put on and remove the backing plate.
