The kit includes a 4 x 6 inch plate. In view of the larger throw radius and motor load between different sizes of plates, Adam's support does NOT recommend the use of any other size. A small plate or pad can be too much for the throw (movement off center) of 12mm, and a large plate can damage the unit due to overload or overheating. This is still a good machine for DIY'ers. I have a Torq 10FX by Chemical Guys with an 8mm throw. The small throw allows me to use smaller plates for tight spaces around the front fascia, and areas like the Even though the Swirl Killer's 4 in size may seem small, you can learn good buffing techniques with it By utilizing slow arm movement, and buffing small areas, and developing techniques on how to deal with curves, you can improve your results. If you want to deal with rounded fenders, you will have to develop certain skills The degree of patience, the slower speed / lighter touch, and the slower arm movement are all important. It took me about 8 hours to do a 2015 Nissan Rogue SUV in my first attempt to use a buffer (my next attempt will be in 6 hours). The results were great The swirls are gone 90% of the time now When you need to stop, you must decide The deeper scratches might remove too much clear coat - Getting the deep scratches out may abrade the clear coat. To make this design, I used Sonax Perfect Finish and Rupes Yellow pads. The product is great for many types of paint and is safe for beginners / it produces a In the final step, I applied 2 coats of Optimum Gloss Coat as a sacrificial layer. Optimum Hyper Seal, a heavy-duty sealant (lasts up to 2 months) that improves gloss and is easy to use (much more user-friendly than the CarPro Reload system). Follow up with Optimum Quick Detailer and Gloss Enhancer (QDGE) - I like how easy it is to use / buffs off almost unnoticeably, and really does add a gloss and slickness, which I especially appreciate in rainy Oregon. Then I clean and maintain the vehicle with Optimum No Rinse rinseless wash and use QDGE as a drying agent and to slicken the vehicle. In Hyper-Reality QDGE and Seal are much cheaper than Kamakaze Overcoat ($95 for 8 oz), also achieving 98% gloss (no difference in gloss between adjacent panels -- I do not think that Overcoat is worth its higher price There is nothing more to it than It is the best machine you can afford if you only have the money for one.
A small amount. A powerful force. In a dual action (DA), one side opposes the other. The tool is of high quality. HD restoration is made possible by this product

COVID it is possible to This is the final week of 19's Taking advantage of the home policy, I thought it would be the ideal time to tackle this project. The bottle broke on me after less than a month. Using the Adams compound and polish pads and solution, my first attempt was to polish my tired headlights, and it worked quite well. The next step would be to clean my roof of water spots and swirls. It has been used for about 15 minutes, and the backing pad has burned so much it has torn. When I contacted Adams, they said that this was normal.
In this case, the buffer's front face flew off the unit, leaving only bare metal spikes exposed. photos) This left a big gouge all the way through the paint on my brand new F-150 This truck weighs 350 pounds.
made this purchase after I struggled with my previous Rupes mini, which would crash on curved panels, and after 3 years of frustration, I decided to try something new. Since I own numerous Rupes machines and love them, this is in no way intended as a denunciation of Rupes machines. I really like the way this thing feels solid and well built. It is a little louder than the Rupes mini, but quieter than the Flex 3in Digital Audio. Vibration and smoothness are identical to those of the Rupes mini, making this a superb device. Three times the speed of sound. What an amazing bargain for the price! This thing really blows me away, and it is even better for the price. The larger 15 and 21mm machines interest me because of their size and the competition they face. My recommendation would be this machine, not only because of its price, but also because it is a truly remarkable machine.
Porter Cable 5 by Porter Cable is what I own. This is a 5" DA polisher I used to fix the paint on three cars I own. Getting the Adam's 3" DA polisher so I could use it where the 5 couldn't go helped me go to places the There appears to be a lot of strength and durability in Adam's. I'm sure it will last for many, many years to come. The headphones are comfortable and come with a 25' cord. I can even use one hand to operate it. * I don't have a lot of complaints about it. In the vicinity of where I normally put my hands, I have a vent for the motor. To prevent the motor from overheating, I had to constantly adjust my hands. Once you get used to it, you won't notice it as much. Unfortunately, it wasn't as valuable as I thought it would be. Whenever I have an open panel space, the 5 is what I will always use. There is no room for 5". My favorite application for the polisher is plastic lenses and side-view mirrors, but I could have polished them by hand with a small amount of effort as well. I think this tool is useful, but make sure you really need it before buying.
A polisher like this is a must-have. After you get used to the soft start feature, this is a fantastic app. Adam's Swirl Killer is very powerful and smooth, and it is easy to tell the difference between the two. The cord on it is nice and long, and it feels heavier than some other headphones. *I would recommend this polisher to the DIYer looking to detail their ride. It is a winner for the price, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results.
Although I knew the polisher would fit better, I was skeptical about how powerful it was. Well, it certainly has a punch to it! Because of the Griots' reputation, I had hoped to avoid it, but I discovered that it has more power than the Swirl killer. Having to remove the larger polisher's backing plate and change the counterbalance weight every time I want to switch would have been nice for me, but I have to do it every time I want to This way, you can have the extra dedicated polisher while the other one has a break and you won't have to worry about it As I commented previously, I was surprised how quickly the Meg's cutting microfiber pad corrected the problem, My favorite feature of the slow start is when I have to focus on deeper blemishes on a panel. The small price was well worth it!.
Any Adams product I have ever used has always impressed me. This small, but very powerful, tool is just what I wanted in a small machine. Lightweight and convenient, it is the perfect tool for any job. Only one complaint I have is that the on/off switch is not located where I would have preferred it to be. I find it hard to remember where it is, and it is difficult to get Moreover, I have the Adams cordless polisher, which has also proved to be a blessing to me. There is nothing wrong with the "swirl killer" line at all because they all are so great. Also, this miniature is the best! It features smaller character panels and bumpers.
It works well, starts very slow, and is easy to use. The unit can make a bit of a noise, and it gets hot when in use (hoping it's normal, we'll see). This is perfect for small spaces where space is limited. It will stop spinning if put in certain positions on panels (good for safety?.
