I was looking at other brands at RV dealers and on the internet when I came across this one, which was the perfect fit for the dimensions where I needed to install the camera. This unit is of good quality, the monitor is easy to adjust, and the mounting system is very versatile. I particularly like the magnetic mount on the back, which allows you to easily remove the monitor and store it in the glove box out of sight. The power plug also has a switch, which allows you to turn off the monitor's power without unplugging it. The monitor has a glare-reducing shade on top, is large enough to not take up too much dash space, and displays a high-quality image. The camera was simple to install on my RV because it is small and compact, and it fit perfectly in the available space. It appears to be of high quality construction; however, the picture quality is excellent; the only thing that needs to be done is to extend the lead from the camera to the extra lead in the wire; however, as they provide plenty of hookup wire, it was simple to pair; I simply pushed the button and I had an instant picture; I wired mine into running lights so that I have rear view when driving as my toy-car. Because the hauler is 30 feet long and small cars tend to blend into the background, it will be ideal. br>The price was excellent for comparable quality to others that cost $200. 00 plus. So far, this camera has served as a fantastic backup. I connected it to the parking lights wire on my travel trailer instead of the backup light, as suggested by another reviewer, so that I can see what's behind me as I drive down the highway with my RV trailer. To do so, I'll have to turn on my headlights or park lights. br>br>However, I've discovered that I need to turn on the 5" monitor before turning on the camera, or else it won't always pair right away, if at all. If you turn on the monitor first, it pairs quickly and shows you what's behind you in a matter of seconds. br>br>It's now a lot easier for me to back my trailer into tight spots. The camera is attached to the back bumper of my vehicle. I've discovered that if I simply place a plastic bucket (or other target) exactly where I want the trailer's back end to end up, I can get it there on the first try. br>br>The 5" monitor appears to be the ideal size, as it does not completely obstruct my view out the window while still allowing me to see everything clearly.

  The picture quality is excellent, and the unit is simple to set up. I connected it to my new trailer's clearance lights. This way, all I have to do is turn on the lights to turn the camera on and off. It took me less than 15 minutes to put it together, and when backing up, I can see the entire bumper. Excellent camera.

Keep an eye on the wiring on your trailer. I bench tested it with two separate 12 volt power supplies as soon as it arrived. Everything appeared to be in working order, and the range was impressive. In addition, the image was clear and sharp. I went out to the trailer and hooked it up, expecting it to work right away. Wrong! There is no signal, nothing at all. So I took it into the cab and it worked fine, but when I took it back out to the trailer, it didn't work at all. So I checked the voltage on the clearance lighting and discovered that the wiring was reversed, leading me to believe that the unit had been cooked. I never thought green would be the hot wire, and I mounted the camera on the back ladder upside down, but the unit has a menu option to flip the image so you can mount it upside down. I'm not sure if the guy who wired the trailer is color blind, but I never thought green would be the hot wire. We'll have to see how roadworthy it is, and I'll make any necessary changes to the review. Please note that the wire pinch connectors that they provide are not to be used. The gauge of the unit's connection wire is far too small to give them a good bite. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. So we put it to the test on a long journey and discovered that the picture was bright, clear, and stable. even in the trailer's back. It provides you with peace of mind by allowing you to see a large area behind the trailer. Never lost a signal from up to 28 feet through a travel trailer and through the truck cab because I wired it to the clearance lights, which allows me to keep it on all the time. If you see flashing lights approaching from behind you, that's a big plus.

My purchase was refunded after they honored the transaction. I am a knowledgeable expert in the field of low-voltage wiring. This camera was attempted to be installed in my RV Travel Trailer. As soon as I connected the camera to the running lights, which I wanted to use as a rear viewing camera while the trailer was connected to my tow vehicle, it became extremely hot and melted the wiring. I double-checked the polarity and confirmed that it was properly connected to the wiring on my trailer. For a brief moment, I reversed the polarity, and it worked. That's why I gave it a five-star rating for image quality. But after I turned off the vehicle's power and went outside to make the final connections and mount it, it stopped working. When I went back to test it, it started to smoke and burn up. I'm not sure whether the camera was simply defective or not. However, I gave it back. I double-checked the polarity of the lighting and confirmed that everything was in working order.
