Works for a fraction of the price of a wireless. EDIT: I just returned from a 5000-mile road trip with this vehicle, and I can highly recommend it. I didn't have the monitor mounted, so it was just sitting on my desk. The only problem was that it blocked some of the truck's environmental controls. This device allowed me to see directly behind my trailer, preventing me from changing lanes without first seeing what was there. It also allowed me to double-check that I had completely passed someone before moving over. br>It went off without a hitch! I was looking for a rear view camera for my travel trailer, not just a backup camera. br>br>I was looking for a rear view camera for my travel trailer, not just a backup camera. br>br>I was looking for a rear view camera for my travel trailer, not just a backup I was worried about the lags and dropped video on the less expensive wireless systems because they were so fast. I didn't want to pay nearly $600 for the Furrion system, so I went looking for a wired system. The wire was more difficult to run and mount than the wireless, but it only took a couple of hours of work to save me $500. I ran the cable through a knockout under the rear seats and then under the carpet to my console in my Ram. I had to disassemble it a little to get it there, but most of the wire is now inside the console, with only the monitor and power wires protruding. I turn on the system using the switch on the lighter power plug. br>It was a little easier to mount it to my camper. I didn't have a Furrion mount waiting for me when I arrived. installed, so I bought one from a website that accepts bids, which cost me around $16 delivered. I attached the camera to the sharkfin mount and ran the wire through a hole I drilled in the lower area to allow the wire to exit, then ran the wire in the least visible way possible. This worked fantastically, but the cable was only long enough to reach my trailer hitch, and my camper has a 27-foot box. br>There are a couple of minor flaws that prevent it from receiving five stars: the monitor image is washed out and does not match the photos in the advertisement. It's still enjoyable, but it lacks the vibrancy of the original. br>The screws that hold the camera to its mount are the next step - In my third photo, you can see what I'm talking about. The slots on the mount are for the attachment screws, and they're supposed to let you adjust the camera. However, when I rotated it to the desired position after mounting it to the Furrion sharkfin, the slots didn't line up with the screw holes. One of the screws was inserted into the center pivot hole, and the other was simply reinserted into its hole without doing anything. br>I'm confident that this will be ideal for my needs. If that is not the case, I will notify you.

The product arrived in excellent condition, with a variety of wires and accessories for easy connection and installation. In addition, the monitor could be mounted using one of two different mounting brackets. There was a nice clip-on feature on the monitor, as well. on the sun visor, which kept the glare at bay. The monitor could be mounted in one of two ways. The mounting options were to use screws or to 3-D print the mount. The monitor could be adjusted in certain directions after it was mounted using M adhesive. A 23-foot wire and a 43-foot wire were also available for connecting the monitor to the camera. If you needed more wire length, they also included an extension wire. A 2d camera could be added to the product, but I only needed one right now. br>br>First and foremost, I'd like to point out that customer service was provided via email. e-mail, but it was undeliverable. I e- I emailed a few questions about my order and the product, and I always got a response via e-mail. The following day, send mail. They are obviously in a different country and time zone. I received satisfactory answers to all of my questions. br>br>The items were well packaged in one box, and Prime delivery was quick; it comes with an installation booklet, as well as a QR code to scan on the booklet for an installation video. Everything I needed to know about hooking it up was covered in the video. This camera was purchased so that I could get a better view of my flatbed trailer as I was towing it. I use my trailer for odd jobs almost every day, and because my truck is so tall, it's difficult for me to see through my side mirrors when backing up. My problem was solved by this camera, which has a very wide field of view. My truck is a 2011 and it only came with a very small, low-quality camera that appears in black and white on the rear mirror; the camera for this is in color, and the image on the monitor has a wide angle and is extremely clear. Both the camera and the monitor appear to be well-built and of high quality. On the monitor, there is a medium-sized sun visor. It's made of heavy-duty plastic, but you won't have to deal with it again once you've attached it. br>br>As part of my review, I've included a few photos. I noticed the protective film was still on the front of the monitor after I took the photos. It slipped my mind because I was so enthralled by the camera's clarity and coverage. The tab to remove the protective film can be found in the bottom left hand corner of those two photos. Also, because the sun was setting, the lighting in the photos was not as good as it could have been. The images don't do the image justice at all, but I wanted to include them so you could get a sense of how it was covered. It's a lot clearer than it appears in the photos. The wide angle is fantastic! br>br>I highly recommend this camera, particularly for the price, quality, and excellent customer service, as well as the 2-year warranty. a one-year warranty A few of my friends suffer from pull-ups. I'm sure I'll be recommending this camera to anyone who works behind campers or trailers. There is a two-tiered system in place.
