Questions & Answers
You can either wire it to your backup lights circuit so it turns on when the vehicle is in reverse, or you can install a switch in the power line that you can turn on when you want the camera and off when you don't.
It's waterproof, thank you very much.

It's also unbeatable value for money! Installing and configuring it is a breeze. br>Because I have the camera on my RV, I purchased rubber caps to cover the ends when it is not in use to protect them from the elements. br>I had a problem with my screen after the Amazon return period had passed, but the seller simply sent me a replacement/exchange at no cost to me! It was a pleasure to collaborate with them. br>Today was my first long trip (not just short trips or testing the unit), and I drove for 10 hours straight with the camera on my RV. There were no problems, and it was great to be able to see what was going on behind me and in front of me. It also made maneuvering unfamiliar parking lots a lot easier. (By the way, I have a 30' RV and a Ford Super Crew full-size truck. ).
They told me I had to go to Amazon and give them a good review from the moment I first contacted them, even before they would respond to my request. I explained that I don't write reviews until I've used a product, so even though the installation went smoothly and the system appeared to work, I wanted to wait until we took it out on the road before writing one. No, they replied, write a review now and then write another later. I responded by asking if they wanted a review right away because I knew I was going to have issues soon. That is, after all, what has occurred. The monitor has dimmed to the point where we can only see a haze. I've tried changing the brightness, color, and dimmer settings, as well as turning it on and off. I've double-checked every connection, but nothing seems to be working. And now, despite multiple requests and even providing them with my phone number, the company will not respond to me at all. Because the camera appears to be working, I don't want to have to uninstall it in order to return it to Amazon, but I don't have a choice if I can't get a working monitor. br>Recent changes: I finally received a response from this firm. A language barrier appears to exist. My monitor issue is something I'm hoping to get fixed.
With my tractor, I'm using this 7" screen/camera to keep an eye on the attachments connected to my 3pt hitch. I used a strong magnet to attach the monitor to the hood of my tractor so that I can see what's going on in the 10' behind my tractor while driving forward, and everything is mounted in such a way that it can be easily removed without causing permanent damage to the tractor. In the daytime, the screen has good color and contrast, and the nightvision is also very good. br> I realize this isn't the product's intended use, and while I won't be using it in the rain or snow, only time will tell how well it will withstand vibrations and dust; however, so far it's been great! I've used it to skid logs, grade stone, and pull trailers, and it allows me to keep an eye on what's going on without constantly turning around.
I just bought your iStrong 7 inch wired rear view camera system from Amazon. I chose the wired system because after reading about some of the other manufacturers' systems, I decided that a wired system would be the best option for me. The system was simple to set up. The connectors between the two cables are simple to connect and are protected from the elements by rubber sleeves that cover the connection. The picture on the screen is excellent and the screen is very clear. Your system has a lot of features that I like. Because I can disconnect the wiring between the truck and trailer, the system works well with my Ford F150 truck and travel trailer. Because my truck's windows are tinted and it's difficult to see behind me, I'm considering ordering another camera to mount on the Topper. I contacted iStrong to request the windshield mount, and Kayla has been extremely helpful in responding to my emails. She just needed to know which system I ordered so she could match the mount to the screen. Kayla responded very quickly, and she has already dispatched the mount to me. I am very pleased with the IStrong unit and have already recommended it to the Lance trailer club in which I am a member, as well as to many of my camping and other friends.
This camera is mounted on the rear of a Triton Clamshell snowmobile trailer. My SUV's extended mirrors can't see around the trailer because it's so wide. This camera was recommended by a friend, and he just finished installing it on a 24-foot pole. I was also a camper and had a great time. Wired cameras, according to all of the reviews we've read, simply work better. Because I am a do-it-yourselfer, I was able to install the camera system in both the tow car and the trailer in one day. To be honest, I only watched the YouTube video to learn how to put it together. Figuring out where to run the cable through the interior of my car is the most difficult part. Not only will you receive the entire system, but Yakry support will also send you optional freebies, such as free systems, cameras, mounts, or anything else you might require. Simply get in touch with them. They're sending me two free lengths of 4 pin screw lock cables (which weren't advertised as a bonus). I can now wire up two more cars and simply switch the monitor and cigarette lighter power supply between them. You can add guide lines, flip the image if necessary, and add a second camera to the picture, which is nice and clear. Yakry, I appreciate it.
