Good to hear from you! Thanks for asking me! LATCH is what we do. You will be the only person with your key since it RV door locks use unique key cylinders. This means that we will be unable to open the lock with the dealer master key (which can easily be purchased online by anyone). It is for this reason that we released our locks, as there were utterly crappy security products available on the market. The following is a summary of Rob's career

go past the stop when opening the inside handle, the handle will go past the stop and you will not be able to open the The reason we were locked out of our RV was because of this. This is a product we are not happy with.
Keys and master codes are not to be trusted. It looks like the clips that hold the cylinders in place would work just as well on baggage lock doors as they do on RVs with the cylinders. My old lock did have metal and screws holding it in, I take your point as I will likely reinstall the old lock. To give higher stars, it needs to be tested as to the actual security of the lock. In order to twist out the lock, the only tool needed is a screwdriver.
it as a replacement for a used camper that I had purchased previously. In the end, it fitted. The point was reached, but it took a fair amount of finagling. In essence, this is a two person job, which should not be the case. It would happen when the screws were out of alignment or slipping. The handle latch can come unfastened if all screws aren't tightly in place. At first, you do not realize that.
I do not like that the door handle has the key# on it and that my key also has the # on it. I find it very unsafe to advertise the model number of the key you will need to open my door on the outside of my door handle. At the beginning of my trip, I expect to stay in welllighted state parks where I feel relatively safe. However, the lock with its model number will not be used if I decide to use the camper more frequently or if I want to be on my own for longer periods of time.
This one is made of all metal, and you can't go wrong with it! The folks at Latch have made it easy for you to install. Having a "you can do this" attitude, and being here for you at all times is a key factor. I received my order within a few days. I wanted a lock that was more sturdy and modern than the original lock that came with an old Scamp trailer, which we are going to rebuild. The lock was not designed to be used for this purpose. There is, however, a kit that has this type of latch, the only downside is that it is all plastic and costs more than The better I wanted, the better my life would be. I used a plastic cutting board for the spacer, if you are handy with tools it will work, you have to make a spacer. I am very pleased with the results.
The Riverside 2)14 RV lock I have for this third time is the third lock I have used. In the past, I've spent a lot of money, time, and frustration trying to get locks to work. In the end, a new lock was ordered, which, as it turned out, was slightly different from I needed a locksmith then, on the night before it was rented out, because it locked and wouldn't open just before it was rented Furthermore, it did not open while the rental was in progress. In an embarrassing fix, I discovered that if the emergency egress window is left unlocked, it can be used for entry in case of emergency, without causing any damage to Alternatively, you can gain entry by raising the hatch under the master bed, or going through the storage hatch. Please note The lock I had installed before my most recent rental was set up. Only the bolt lock should be used, according to the dealer. As a reminder not to open it, the other lock was taped. I've had no problems with the lock so far on my 2,000 mile journey! It looks like this model was made in America This was done. The road vibration to which RV locks are subject can damage them. RV locks are not designed to withstand this vibration. The home-made camper I used to have had a standard house door and lock has been very stable. WARNING! A caveat emptor awaits!.
Recently, I took a trip where my latch decided to eat it while on the road. A screen had to be ripped off and a window had to be pried open in order to get inside. Anyway, there is a cheaper alternative, but I just decided to go with this guy anyway, and it came with extra screws and whatnot. It fit right into my teardrop door without an issue.
