It's not plastic, but it's the traditional style of seat you'd find at home! I'm glad I bought it because it's a great unit.
Yes!
I'm not sure what was there before we put this one in, but it was a perfect match.
That is not the case; these toilets are sold with a variety of rebuild kits and seals. Take a look at trbowlin on YouTube. He even walks you through the process. I hope this has been of assistance.

In June, a toilet was set up. It's October, and the flapper seal has already started to leak. I followed the directions and pressed down on the seal while filling the bowl with 1 gallon of hot water. This had no effect. I also took the seal off, cleaned it, and greased it with silicone grease. The leak hasn't stopped yet. I placed an order for a new seal, and we'll see what happens. Buyer beware: a new toilet's seal will not last. In all of the campers I've owned over the last 20 years, I've only had to replace one seal. They should last for many years if properly cared for. br>br>UPDATEbr>In October, a new seal was installed. Now that it's February, the seal is always holding water, and I'm having no more issues.
If you live in your RV full-time, this is one of those must-have items; I can't express how much better porcelain is than plastic; let's just say everything slides right down when you flush.
The toilet in our fifth wheel was a Thetford ceramic bowl toilet. It was time to get rid of that toilet after a second rebuilding of the foot pedal. Dometic 310 was suggested by a friend. It was simple to set up and has been functioning flawlessly for the past two months. The bowl flush function, foot pedal, and home style self-closing lid make it a far superior product. This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
It took me ten minutes to replace the old plastic model 300 with a new one. Seat is larger and more solidly constructed.
Domestic Sanitation 302310083 310 Toilet Bone Std. In the RV, we're replacing our old short 'plastic' toilet. We chose this one because it fit in the space we had, and we wanted porcelain for longer use because the plastic wore out quickly, and even replacing the 'plastic' parts didn't stop the leaks. There won't be any more leaks, thanks to porcelain. This model is also 3 to 4 inches higher than the previous model, which makes a significant difference for our 'older' knees. The flush is satisfyingly adequate and clean. Porcelain is much easier to keep clean because it does not stain. This model comes highly recommended; it has performed admirably for us and is extremely durable.
My 2010 Puma's magic was replaced. To complete the water connection, I needed a 20-inch flex hose and a 90-degree elbow. br>The flange gasket was already installed on the toilet, the bolts were perfectly aligned, and everything worked out perfectly! br>The high, wooden seat gives it the appearance of a home toilet, and the water seal prevents odors from escaping from the tank. The amount of enjoyment I get from this unit astounded me.
The item was completely broken and unusable when it arrived. It's completely ridiculous that you can't reorder!.
To sit on, there is a nice tall throne. This is my second replacement, as my first Dometic model 310 only lasted a few years before the bottom flap failed to fully close. I needed two small crescent wrenches because the bolts and nuts were slightly smaller than the ones I ordered a few years ago. Aside from that, it took me less than an hour to install. br>br>I'm overjoyed to be sitting on my new throne:.
