I replaced the anode rods in my Suburban 6 gallon water heater with these new rods. Just seeing how degraded they are after a single year of camping is amazing. We should be happy about that. It is better to have a water heater that looks worse than it is to have one that looks better. When replacing the anode rod, be sure to flush the water heater.

According to my first impression, I think the anode is probably okay, but I can't know for sure. You didn't get any instructions on how to use it or how to install it. The next week, they sent a video about how to do it, which was good, but I only heard about it That link or instructions would have been helpful, or at least something telling me to click there to learn how to do the activity. Because of this, I now know I missed some steps that cost me a lot of time and caused things not to work exactly as they should have. As an example, I couldn't get the screw in all the way, and I wasn't sure if the screw was in. Now that I know I should have cleaned the threads of the heater tank, I will be sure to do that. I may have been able to avoid my problems had I known that in advance. However, I did refill the tank with the heater and it did not leak, so I'm hoping it will work. I did not use the heater yet but I filled the tank. It is still too early for me to be confident that the product will work, but I believe that it probably will. Don't send the instructions a week later when you have an Amazon review to be written, just include them with your product.

I cannot comment yet on how well it functions because I just installed it 4/23/21, but it looks to be a direct replacement for my 2010 Keystone Springdale travel trailer hot water heater. Although there were some complaints about the installation instructions, this is probably as simple as it gets. The process is very simple. In spite of this, the vendor reached out to me (instead of me asking for help) via email with follow-up information, including video links for installation. I also congratulate you on your excellent customer service. I like the design of the product, and the Teflon tape included looks really good.
