Questions & Answers

Can I use this with a socket of what size? It appears that this one won't fit my trailer water heater since it is 1" 1/16 in diameter?

This is also exactly the size that these anodes take.

What is the compatibility between this and a SW6 PR?

There is no warranty on the size, and I am not 100% certain

Can it be fitted to a SW6P?

I love the question you asked. Yes, it will fit without a problem.

This is a great disposable item that you have to have
5/5

The fact that this was supposed to be replaced once a year in my travel trailer is timely information for me. As a result of the old one being totally gone, this one could be easily replaced. If you have an impure tank filled with calcium and sediment, be sure to use the sprayer nozzle to clean it out. It makes the job much easier. I removed the old one and installed the new one. The old one is in the picture.

Maintaining the hot water tank in an RV on an annual basis
5/5

If the hot water heater had not shown signs of needing a few repairs, I never would have discovered the importance of this anode rod. The more I learn, the older I get! I'm in my 60s and learning something new every day. I was able to make DIY videos thanks to YouTube.

This one was broken and needed to be replaced
5/5

My awning rod needed to be replaced since I have a travel trailer. In some ways, it contributes to the preservation of the water heater by attracting contaminants like This part of the country has a lot of it and the old rod was in pretty bad shape. The old one was too short, so I measured it and ordered a new one. That's a good fit for you.

There is a problem threading it onto a Dometic 10 gallon RV water heater because it is too large
3/5

There is no room for the anode. A package like this is put together by someone. This anode "socket" is huge (1 1/4") in comparison to the anode it is supposed to fit into! I am returning the package to receive a.

I had a hard time installing this
3/5

The water heater in my RV is the one I bought. There was almost no way to catch the threads. It was only a matter of time before the anode rod sucked in more deeply. It took about half of the threads to finish the job. But doesn't seem to work for me.

A good anode rod should be able to do its purpose
5/5

Anode rods, such as this one, have been good performers for the year I've had them. I am satisfied with the solution as long as it extends the life of the water heater. It is likely I will continue to order this type going forward.

A longer lasting product would be better
5/5

It would have been nice to have two of these if they had had more, since I always have one as a backup. It should also be longer lasting than a typical anode since the material is more durable. Due to the fact that I have not used the water heater since installing the item, I cannot speak to that.
