All of the ones I've put in place are designed to lend a "helping hand" and support only a small portion of my weight. I didn't expect to be able to hang my entire 220 pound body weight from them. I'm not sure what you plan to do with the trailer's back end. I also wouldn't want to subject them to sudden, violent jerks. You might want to contact the manufacturer for more information. They are attached to a solid surface thick enough to accommodate the entire screw length and are held in place by two relatively light screws.
Yes, these can be attached to handrails to help people get into RVs. the use of lock washers on nuts and bolts

I installed a few of these grab handles on an old RV camper I bought to make it easier for the passenger and driver to get into the cab. When I first took them out of the package, they felt a little flimsy, and I was concerned about how they would be used to allow you to get into the RV's cab. I was blown away by how sturdy they are once they were installed. I like how they have a small amount of "give" if you put your full weight on the handle rather than cutting into your hand (especially if you're stumbling, slipping, or falling). Initially, I only installed one per door, but as I watched my wife enter the vehicle with that handle, I realized that when she exited, it would be nice to have another handle on the opposite side of the door that would assist her in exiting more easily. I'm glad I put them where I did, with both handles at each door, once they're installed. They're great, and I'd use them on other projects again.
To make it easier to get into the saddle, my tractor needed grab bars/handholds on the fenders. Tractor operators will understand what I'm talking about. These are perfect, but my tractor has rounded clam shell style steel fenders with no completely flat surface to mount the handles on. These, on the other hand, function admirably. They are made of rigid PU plastic that bends slightly when installed on a slightly curved surface. If you need help bending, use a heat gun or a hair dryer to add some heat. Also included are wood-mounting screws. The fasteners I needed (6-pack) are available at my local ACE hardware store. Screws with hex heads, nuts, and lock washers (32 hex head screws, nuts, and lock washers). These appear to be factory equipment, and they provide the strength and assistance needed to lift this hefty retired sailor into the saddle of my Massey Ferguson. br>br>The photos show the handles installed on my tractor fenders, as well as the flex that they go through. I would strongly suggest it. This item was a little difficult to come by in the size we needed. In my RV, I was attempting to replace the grab bar handle. These were discovered, and the size was exactly what I required. We were originally looking for a stainless steel bar, so I was a little concerned about the product's durability. But it's held up well so far, and we're happy with it. It's also very attractive. However, because the screws that came with it would not have been long enough for the existing holes, we used the existing hardware from the broken handle. We're satisfied, and we have a backup in case we need it. I'm not sure we'll be able to, though.
These are smaller and more flexible than the other grab handles in my house. I needed the smaller size for my needs because the larger ones don't feel as solid as the others I've tried. These will deteriorate as a result of exposure to the sun and temperature changes. br>I used metal washers for the screw holes to make them a little more sturdy. In addition, I used screws that were longer and larger than the ones that came with the kit. br>Getting into the plastic caps was a nightmare. I cussed in several languages until I came up with a solution. The raised bars on the sides were cut away with a utility knife. Even then, getting them in was a challenge. Overall, they're reasonably priced and should be adequate.

The screws, as many other reviewers have pointed out, are useless - or, even worse, futile - They're a waste of time, and removing them once they've broken in half is time-consuming. I gave it a shot anyway, and it broke halfway through the drilling (with the help of a small pilot hole). When using aftermarket screws, the caps that cover the screws/holes were a little too big, so I had to pound them in with a rubber mallet after they were inserted. While doing so carefully, a couple of them aren't quite right, but they're passable unless closely examined. I installed these in the interior of my truck cab, and they work great once they're in place (with the help of other screws). No problem with 200 pound pull/torque. It's easy on the hands, and it also has a professional appearance. Why, then, do you ask users to write product reviews when you don't respond to the same obvious issue that comes up time and time again? the nuts and bolts With the exception of a drawer, I wouldn't use these screws for anything. Overall, a good purchase, but it's frustrating that such a simple fix was overlooked by the vendor.
Used on the engine compartment hood of a 33-foot motorhome RV (I'm not sure why they don't have handles). I spread them out evenly, one on one side and the other on the other, and it worked perfectly. I don't have to worry about hurting my fingers trying to pull the hood up from the crack any longer. Now all I have to do is figure out how to keep the hood from closing and slamming my head shut without having to prop it open with a piece of wood or pvc pipe. *** THEY SHOULD COME WITH HANDLES AND SHOCKS FROM THE FACTORY IN ORDER TO USE THE HOOD PROPERLY ***.
Unfortunately, I am on 02 and suffer from a back condition. As a result, I am extremely cautious of falling and do everything possible to avoid it. I install safety grip on the door jams at the top of every flight, in addition to handrails on the stairwell. br>I've ordered several sets of these handles in the past, and after doing some research, I discovered that trailer grips are just as durable as the more expensive safety bars, and they match the door jams nicely.
This was purchased to go on the back of my 2019 Kia Sportage hatchback's tailgate. If the car needs to be washed, I can close the hatch without scratching the paint or getting my hands dirty because Kia doesn't provide an adequate way to do so. It took me about five minutes to set up and work properly. Another reviewer complained that the small screw "covers" were difficult to install, but mine fit snugly but securely. This is an excellent item.
