Questions & Answers

We have a white trim along the top of a curved wall around the bed in our camping trailer. Would this work as a replacement and how would it be attached?

Dear Debbie, I am like you, a consumer who purchased the Camco Vinyl Trim Insert product. I have helped some other prospective buyers who have had questions about it, and therefore I am writing to Because of some variables that you may only be familiar with, it is difficult to answer your question. The first thing we need to do is take a look at Your RV wall is attached to it in what way. The trim from Camco is designed to replace that found in a metal trim rail, which is usually found on the exterior of RVs. With a screw driver or other tool, you can pull out the old trim and replace it. You can bend this trim strip in half with your fingers, across its 1" width, and push it into the RV metal trim rail with your thumb. In response to your finger release, the trim expands and holds fast in a slightly bowed shape when it expands into the U-shaped trim rail channel. Those edges which are very close to the railing are slightly thicker, which anchors the device in place. The use of trim channeled railing in RV interiors is not familiar to me. You could apply adhesive to one side or nail small finish nails to hold it to the wall with this trim. It is about 1/16" thick and an inch wide. It is soft and flexible, so perhaps it could be used without a railing as well. Here are some words that I hope will The PS is. Debbies are great! I am married to one and I think they are great people. Please accept my regards, Dan)

Do you have Colonial White or Polar White in stock?

White as a polar bear

What is this for? Is it used to replace the screw cover strips on top of RV class C units?

The one on my truck camper was damaged and I had to replace it. It should be squeegee-able when you put it The best way to warm it is to allow it to sit in the Lie right in the groove covering the screws, covering them completely.

A track on my camper topper is 3/4 inch wide I am trying to replace it. How much 1" or 3/4" would I need?

The 3/4 should stay in place. One inch will deviate too far from the center.

In vinyl insert trim, there is a difference
3/5

Here is what I need to explain During many years of repairing, rebuilding and restoring travel trailers, everything I have written below reflects my personal opinion. Products from Camco have been used by me for many years and I will continue to use them in the future. The one in question, however, is not the one in question. I replace a great deal of vinyl trim every time I buy furniture. Since I didn't think it through, I added a 25' roll of Camco 25202 to a quick Amazon order so that I could finish a camper ASAP (I had run out of my 1000' spool). There was a big blunder. It is important to note that vinyl insert trim differs from standard vinyl There is no point in buying this Camco product when it is so cheap or so complicated. There is very little flexibility to Camco 25202, as it is rock hard, slightly off white, and relatively inflexible. In almost all cases, the profile for the roof edge molding is incorrect. or sore fingers of fighting this into the roof edge molding, and when you (eventually) get it installed, there is also a chance that the screw heads this product covers will be visible (using hex screws) through the trim. As a result of its high level of UV exposure, Camco 25202 cracks easily in cold weather and yellows quickly in areas with great sunlight (for instance, south Texas). Camco insert trim that had yellowed so badly that it looked burnt had been replaced by me on campers out of Texas. It is preferred by me that way

It's a great replacement, and it's The replacement was excellent and the installation was very simple
5/5

There were several vinyl pieces on my travel trailer that had shrunk or were Until I saw how much stronger vinyl is when it is brand new, I had no idea how bad the vinyl was in! My existing trim piece was the right width so I purchased the same size. A simple workaround could be to replace all the trim parts in a few hours. If you are installing it in a wrong direction, make absolutely certain you do it correctly. take note of how your existing trim looks and install this trim that way as well. If it falls out, it can be easily replaced. It is not important to pull it tight if you do, you will need to replace it again more quickly. In line with the track, I would actually squeeze it back and forth against itself every foot to make sure that there would be plenty of allowance for it to shrink. Additionally, I would suggest you buy a set of RV screws that are 1/4" longer than those that are currently In case you find a rusted screw with the vinyl trim, you should take it out and replace it while you're able to.

It is so easy to use the Trim cover
5/5

Purchasing a vinyl 1 inch by 100 foot trim insert proved to be an excellent decision. The material is exactly as described. I like how flexible and efficient it is. The full-length version has a nice full-length image There is a texture of color The pros are My 24 foot fifth wheel trim covers are in amazing condition for around $11 and I was able to replace them all. Its sides are pliable enough to tuck underneath the trimming, but soft enough that they may catch on the threads. It's easy to put on. The cons are Nonetheless, it is one of the products on which I cannot say anything bad about it. Here's the overview When I use the product I generally find that it becomes very pliable at temperatures between 70 and 80°F. It wasn't hard for me to place the trimmings in the slots and move along very quickly. There was a place to read in every inch of trim in the RV. The trim on my fifth wheel runs along the top, along the sides, up the sides of the corners, and along the bottom. Furthermore, there are also areas in the loft and on the fifth wheel that have trim on It was more than enough to cover all my needs. The application was so easy to use that I was usually walking at a pace of two to three feet per minute. IMPORTANT NOTE In the same manner, this is not the rubber trim that goes around your windows, so the same observation can be made that this product is not intended for it. For example, the product is not intended to make things water-resistant. Therefore, please keep in mind that this is for the outer trimming, which covers This is not to say that it is a poor product, since rubber would not normally be found in this place. The summer sun hasn't bleached the fabric in two months of sitting out in the sun. In my remodel, I had to cover up the trimmed edges. The covers do keep moisture off the screws, so if you have any exposed screws in your RV, it is very important that these are in place. My experience with this product was excellent. I even bought an extra role in case I were to ever donate my services to charity. A fifth wheel I owned in 1987 had the same color as my new one.

There are no problems, it works as it should, but it could be improved
4/5

My wife and I have a 2012 Keystone Cougar, and the rubber roof is cracking along the edges where the sides meet the roof. As for removing and installing the old trim, the process was fairly straightforward but you should have caulk so that it does not flow down the sides. Look for non-leveling type so that it won't flow down the sides. There's a need to caulk the ends of each end and the points where they screw on. The only thing I dislike about this product is that the arch of the trim is quite shallow and is not nearly as deep as the Although they are both 1", the trim fits very tightly and may need to be replaced in a couple of years due to its tightness. In this photo you can see where the rubber roof is held together by the screws at the top. There might no be a problem with other models, but we had this issue. Regardless, the new part looks much better and it has been We still had a lot left over after we did In our camper, the same trim is used on the front and back ends of the roof and along the edge of the back side.
