As far as I am aware, this piece does not fit pvc pipe. It works with another connector specifically made for sewer systems in motor homes and campers.
- Direct Connect. 3" ABS pipe. - Just go for it.
On the larger end, the rv sewer hose (or cap) hooks to a 3" black ABS pipe. On the smaller end, the four plastic tabs attach to the RV sewer hose.
This piece does not fall within schedule 40, but will fit either way.

I have exactly what I am looking for here. My 3" RV sewer outlet was extended with a piece of 3" pipe, this fitting was glued on the end of the pipe and I was good to go. The hose connects to your dump hose and fits a standard 3" PVC pipe. Thank you so much for being the best Jim Dandy ever.
We had to hook up our 5th wheel to a permanent sewer when we were in a park for the summer. The idiot plumber cut off two of the pegs while adding PVC plumbing. As it turned out, when we travelled again, the fittings on the pegs no longer held tight, so the sewer lines leaked. To fix the problem, I had to cut off the factory fitting and glue this one in place. It's a great item and a great price when you need to fix a problem.
A spigot end may not be everything you would expect from a sewage part, but I believe this termination adapter is the right part. Instead of using a piece of 3" pipe to connect it to the valve, this is glued to the end directly. The first time I glue ABS pipe fittings was the first time I needed to do it. This may not have been the best way to do it. Despite my efforts, I was not successful in obtaining the quarter It was a bit of a turn but I managed to glue it, and it appears to be holding strong A pin for retaining the cap on the tether is a good feature. In comparison to paying someone to do the work for me, I saved a lot of money by fixing this myself.
To fix my trailer's broken sewer hose pins, I used the simplest fix I could find online. A knife was used to cut out the remaining pin, which was then smoothed with the knife and attached with black ABS cement to the pipe. With this new sewer hose attachment, the connection is more secure and the distance is closer, which is nice to see.
3" sch40 PVC pipe. I needed to motorize a system based on 220 volts The adapter uses a home style quick connect to connect the motor home drain to the septic system down pipe in the yard. There is a threaded 90 designed to screw into the clean-out When I connected my RV to the septic tank in the back yard, I had no leaks! I used 6" of 3"sch40 PVC and was able to glue this on to the PVC and connect my RV.
EACH OF THESE, ALONG WITH THE CAP I BOUGHT, IS JUST PERFECT FOR MAKING AN OVERLAP TO MY HOME SEWER. FROM UNDER MY HOME, I just ran a three-inch line up and down the wall, then put on the 90-degree elbow, then ground this to the elbow, all ready to be dumped.
This is a much better and thicker cover than the one that came with the RV OE. My original had an ear that broke off in the winter, and I live in my TT while I'm working on the road. In the event that you need to replace the glue, make sure you get the correct glue and watch a you tube video for instructions. A great product that is durable.
RVing off grid is the way we like to live. The black tank was not being emptied at home, so we needed a place to empty it. The picture shows how we installed a sewer stem at home for disposing of our black water tanks. It was easy to glue the fitting to pvc, since it was made of abs plastic. Schedule 30 pvc pipe is used throughout our plumbing system. Scheduling it to work with schedule 40 to 30 bushings makes things run smoothly.
