My travel trailer's air conditioner required a new return vent cover. It's a Dometic, but I'm guessing these grates are a standard size that can be used by a variety of manufacturers. The grate fit perfectly, but I'm docking a star because of the filter that came with it. The original filter was made of a finer mesh foam than the replacement. I'm not sure if the difference in filter performance will allow dust to accumulate on the coils, but we'll have to wait and see. I still have my old filter, which I plan to use with the new grate. Another issue is that my unit (2017 model) is slightly off-kilter. I looked at a few other listings after noticing the difference, but there were no color differences. It's subtle, but if you're interested in that sort of thing, you'll notice it.
These covers' plastic becomes brittle over time and eventually breaks. These replacements, on the other hand, are extremely well-fitting - They're a little tighter than they should be, but they get the job done. Although the foam filter isn't as good as the original, it will suffice. Overall, it's a good deal that's relatively simple to switch out. It's certainly preferable to having a shattered cover dangling from the ceiling.
Are you unsure what the term "sheerness" in the review refers to? br>br>Anyway, they're a good deal, but they don't fit very well. They're a tad too big for the slot they're supposed to fit into. Because the clipped edge is a little too wide, you'll have to really force it into the opening. It was extremely difficult to get the clips to snap into place, and once they did, the cover had a slight bow to it due to the extra width. If I ever order again, I believe I will try a different brand.

A must-have accessory for your RV's air conditioner. The fabric liner is easy to clean and lasts a long time, and the plastic grate is adequate; the only issue we have is that the two small latches that snap into the inside unit tend to break easily, even if you are being as gentle as possible when removing or replacing them. Unfortunately, that is the nature of these. It would be ideal if the manufacturer improved the quality, but RV products aren't known for being well-made. What will be will be! Shipping was extremely fast.

It was adamant about not bending to fit into the space. After more than 35 minutes, it finally broke. I'm undecided as to whether I should order another or just tape it up and let it look bad.
