It's compatible with a 4400 predator.
Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us. Yes, the SoftStartRV works with any voltage between 110 and 240 volts.
It works on a wide range of RV air conditioners and includes instructions for a variety of brands. I only learned about this device about a month ago, ordered one, and set it up. It was a huge success. I didn't have to buy a new Honda generator because of this. It even works with the 110 volt cord that runs from my house to the RV. The circuit breaker was not tripped.
It is generally not possible to run an air conditioner on a 15 amp breaker. There are a few AC models with lower amps, but the normal amperage for the compressor and fan is around 18 amps, which is higher than the 15 amp breakerbr>rating. br>You can find the amp ratings for the fan and compressor on their specific AC by consulting their owner's manual and/or the data tag on the AC.

On my fifth wheel, I just finished installing the soft start. Watch the video and take a break between each step. It was a breeze to put the system together. The connectors and mounting screws were all included in the package. I am ecstatic!.
The first time I tried it on my Dometic air conditioner, it worked perfectly. I'm very happy with the results, which I tested on my 720 AH solar system, a 3000 watt inverter generator, and a 3300 watt inverter generator. I really like the Softstart because it solved a lot of problems for me. I'm just curious as to why air conditioning manufacturers do not provide installation.
For an electronic item, it is extremely expensive (two stars in that category), but it performs admirably. Two of them were purchased - one for each of the two new Furrion air conditioners on the roof of my Class A motorhome. I tried turning on one AC while the rig's refrigerator was turned off (and no other high-powered appliances were turned on). amperage items running) with only a 15-amp power supply circuit with amplifiers As a result, the air conditioner started up and ran smoothly. Five stars for design, two for a price that is nearly half that of the air conditioner.
It was simple to install and well worth the money. br>It took about an hour to complete the installation. Except for hand tools, everything was included, and the installation instructions, in my opinion, were adequate. br>I followed the directions, replaced the cover, and used shore power to run the air conditioner. I then used my inverter generator to run the air conditioner without any issues. My inverter generator struggled to start the A/C before installing the Softstart, and it was sometimes unable to do so. It now starts the A/C without any issues.
I bought a smaller inverter generator, like many of you reading this right now, with the intention of running the RV's air conditioning. It doesn't matter if it's just the air conditioning. Then I turned on the generator, turned on the air conditioner, and stood there watching it overheat. It wasn't until that point that the magnitude of the startup rush became apparent. br>At this point, I had already constructed a baffle box that rendered the generator nearly silent, which was the entire goal.
So. I set out on a quest for options that would allow me to stick with one of the smaller inverter generators; I was willing to try anything. I came across this and was a little hesitant to use it. I figured, since it was on Amazon, I'd give it a shot and return it if it didn't work. br>br>Well, the results were fantastic. br>Installation - They have nearly every ac diagram and step-by-step instructions. You can complete the installation in ten minutes if you know how to splice a cut power cord. Support- I can't speak to it because it wasn't necessary. br>Total rooftop time: 20 minutes. br>Support- I can't speak to it because it wasn't necessary. br>Functionality is a term that is used to describe the ability to perform certain tasks. It does exactly what it says on the tin! The startup flurry has been reduced to levels that are close to normal running. br>The AC starts much smoother and quieter, and I'd recommend it even if it weren't for the generator in future RVs. br>br>I had a hard time finding actual data or user write-ups to help me make my decision, so here's what I tried for those who are still debating: br>Coleman 15kbtu mach (2015) with softstart. br>Gen: At 5000 feet in eco mode, the generac gp3300i runs the ac like a champ, with an extra 1000w in inverter and blower draw. br>Following our success with this, my RV buddies wanted to see how other small generators would handle the 15k unit with softstart, so we set out. Honda eu2200-Buddies br>br> The air conditioner works well, but there is a lot of extra load to be aware of. THANK YOU JOHN for your assistance in locating my diagram; it was a very smooth start.
On my trailer, this is the simplest installation I've ever done. I watched the video for my type of application on their website, and it was almost as if Homeboy was up on the roof with me, walking me through the process step by step. After installing the SoftStartRV and connecting it to a regular wall plug, I ran the trailer's AC for two hours straight, and it's even quieter than before.
Pod 196. On-screen instructions for installation It was simple to follow the instructions. I had a question, so I created a ticket and received a prompt response. When I called Bill, he was immediately able to answer all of my questions. It came with everything I needed; all I had to do was crimp the wire ends, plug them in, and route the wires. br>Now I can use my Honda EU2000 generator to power the air conditioner. I'm in a good mood! Thank you so much, SoftstartRV! Note - Before climbing onto the roof, take your time and read the instructions several times. You'll save yourself a couple of trips up and down the ladder if you do it this way.
