My domestic mfg 457915 was manufactured in 2002. I need to replace the cover on my 301co. 13500 btu is a lot of energy. ?

This appears to be the case. You can measure the overall dimensions of the old shroud and compare them to the new one if you have all or most of it.

My duo therm air box kit (part 3107210) can be used with series 579, according to the only numbers I can find: 590: What shroud do I require from the 59516 series? kc?

I used the measurements as a guide and it worked out perfectly.

Is this something that would work in the Viking epic from 2002?

Great quality and worth getting if you make a few minor changes
4/5

It is constructed from high-quality plastic. Even though it's not as thick as the original, I'm confident in its longevity. It was purchased to replace one that had been damaged by hail. On my 2002 Starcraft popup, the original shroud was damaged. It worked well with a few issues: as previously stated, there are no holes on the back-side. However, a 30-minute face-to-face session is required. That was fixed with a second drill job. One of the two front-row seats in my car is reserved for me. The screw holes on the facing side were crooked. That was also solved by drilling a new hole through the gray base of the unit, so it was no big deal. The only real gripe I had with it was the fact that it was mostly written in a foreign language. Not to mention how it reduced air flow with its enclosed rear end that bowed inward and actually touched the fins. As a result, my solution was to cut out that entire section and reassemble it like the original. It took about 5 minutes to cut it out and sand down the sharp edges using power tools. It now looks fantastic, and I'm confident that it will serve me well for many years to come. You'll get frustrated and give it one or two stars if you don't have the means or desire to make some minor changes. It's worth the extra time, especially when you consider what is and isn't available for this A/C unit on the market.

We'll see how long it lasts now that it's been installed
3/5

After initial installation, I gave it three stars because there is no center screw hole in the front, and the two holes provided in the front didn't line up with existing holes in the mating bottom part of the air conditioner. In addition, the thickness of the material is. 063" vs. The original cover can be found here. Thickness is 093". To get the screw hole to line up, I had to press down firmly on the left rear corner of the cover. {Note: This was the last screw I was going to put in, and all the others were already loose. The mentioned hole was 1/4" off and 1/4" higher vertically. ) For the two holes in the front that didn't line up, I drilled two new screw holes. I don't believe the front center screw is required. On the top of the cover, there is an added stiffening rib that runs the length of the cover. I believe that all of the ribs could be made much larger to give the cover a lot more rigidity, but it's fine as is. It would be preferable if the ribs' "peak" was raised to prevent dirt and water from collecting. (Note: In contrast to the original cover, which was completely open, the back of the cover is closed with vent slots. Due to the lack of structural support, the cover's rear bottom edge "bows in," but this has no bearing on its functionality. The cover is made of a higher-quality material, according to the manufacturer. If the cover lasts as long as the original and all of the screw holes line up, I'd give it four stars. It had to be indestructible and last a lifetime for me to give it five stars. br>This cover fit on my "new style" Duo-Flex. 57915 is the model number of the Therm. The length measurement in this ad and on the manufacturer's website is incorrect in the description of the 531 rv air conditioner that is on my 2003 Trail Lite. The total length is 34 inches. Not 35, but 5" 5" in length (as measured at the time of installation).

On my camper, this was the perfect fit
5/5

This was a perfect fit for my 'Joey' camper; it didn't come with the two holes in the back, so I drilled them before mounting it; however, it turned out that those holes were unnecessary. Because my old screws were loose and I didn't want to risk it blowing off (I see them on the side of the Interstate sometimes), I used a short self drilling tek screw with a stainless steel washer, and since I was using the self drilling screws, I added one to the middle in the front. While it was off, I used the time to repaint the metal shroud on the bottom, which had been covered in white roof paint.

This "New Style" fits a 579 15 331 Brisk Air Dometic " 2003" but stands out an inch in the back
4/5

I couldn't decide between the "Old" and "New" styles, so I went with the "New" style, which fits reasonably well with a little massaging due to the exact location of the screw holes. It's not a big deal. In comparison to my old cracked unit, the height and width appear to be exactly the same. There are "two" significant differences on the unit's back. It's about 1/2 to 3/4 inch protruding from the back, and it's missing the screw holes for the rear screws that were punched in the original unit's plastic. My original cover had lovers running across the entire back area, while the "New cover" had lovers running across the entire back area. Big deal? NO. However, because this trailer spends a lot of time in the desert, I didn't want anything to get in the way of the hot air exhausting out the back, so I simply cut the louvered area off, just like the original Dometic factory cover. The old style appears to be shorter at the back in terms of dimensions, but the height appears to be different. I guess I'll find out when we run the unit for hours on end to see if it works beyond the short test I did.

Replaced the original AC cover on a 2008 trailer and it fits, looks good, and should last
5/5

When we touched the cover, it began to crack and fall apart. This cover was a perfect fit, with matching screw holes on both sides. New ones had to be drilled in the front, and two more had to be added in the back. The sun in South Florida appears to degrade everything over time. I'm hoping it lasts a long time. Although it is thin, as some have pointed out, I believe it will hold up well. Therm 57915 is a thermometer that measures the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. 541.

The part fits, but you'll need to drill a few holes to make it work
4/5

Like other reviewers, I removed the rear grill and left some reinforcing cross members to allow air to flow across the coils as it did on the factory unit. It appears to be made of a different type of plastic, which may be more resistant to UV rays from the sun. The only way to find out is to wait. September 17th. br>br> I've only driven around town and experienced a few storms with strong winds. The cover is in perfect condition. Please do not inquire about the compatibility of this unit with your air conditioner with reviewers. Sending serial numbers and other information about your unit to the supplier is pointless. We know what our units were, but we have no way of knowing what yours are, so I can't tell you if it would fit. I wasn't sure it fit until I put them next to each other and tried it on. Hole re-drilling was required, as stated. Please accept my sincere gratitude.
