The true size is 34 inches
5/5

29" L x 4" W 5"W x 12"H x 5"W x 5"H 7" H. An 11-year-old shroud had cracked, and I needed to replace it. The Dometic 3309518 was the result of my online search for a replacement. 003 Replacement Shroud for Brisk - The Polar White with Gray Band is a great match. The issue was that Amazon's measurements did not match my shroud's measurements. I decided to take a chance because the model number was correct, and the shroud fit perfectly. Its true size is 34 inches. 29" L x 4" W 5"W x 12"H x 5"W x 5"H 7" H. It also includes a gray plastic band that raises the shroud a few inches. This was a piece I didn't need. It also includes the necessary screws.

Direct replacement for the RV Duo from 1999
5/5

Unit of heat. Woohoo! After a decade of thinking my RV's A/C shroud was too old to be replaced, Amazon refused to ship it with Prime free shipping. To install it, you'll need to do some DIY work. A riveter tool is required - It continued without a hitch. It's made of flimsy plastic that, when new, fit exactly like the original. Just make sure you look up inside the air conditioner (from inside the RV) to find out what model it is.

Part is of good quality, but the directions are a bit confusing
5/5

The quality of the shroud is exceptional. All of the holes matched the existing ones perfectly. The instructions, on the other hand, are extremely difficult to follow. The shroud fits a variety of air conditioner models, and the first step in the installation process is to install the shroud extension for units with a low profile base pan, according to the instructions. But they don't say whether your existing pan is high or low profile, and I couldn't find anything on the internet to help me figure it out. I ended up taking the new shroud up on the roof and discovered that mine was a high profile pan because the shroud fit without the extension. That was something I shouldn't have had to do. The instructions are for a close-up shot. plates have been removed There was nothing in my unit that I recognized as a close-up camera. off the plate The following step was to adhere self-adhesive foam to the close-up. plates have been removed I decided to use the coil end plates to attach the foam. The instructions state that two "supplied 10-foot power cords" should be installed. 16 x 1. 41 truss head shoulder screws" were inserted into the condenser brackets through holes in the shroud. My unit didn't have any provision for installing these screws, and my original shroud didn't have any either. My original shroud (which had shattered into unrecognizable pieces) may have been a "closed end shroud" that didn't use the truss head shoulder screws, after a third reading of the directions. This would also account for the lack of close encounters. On my unit, there are some plates that have come off. br>I spent more time trying to follow the directions than I did actually installing the unit, which was obvious just by looking at the shroud and the unit itself.

It was simple to put together and it fits perfectly on my 1996 fifth wheel
5/5

First and foremost, I am a 65-year-old woman. year- Because I am an elderly woman living alone in my travel trailer, I am responsible for all repairs. I own a Dometec Brisk Air conditioner in a 1996 Four Winds fifth wheel. The cover was relatively simple to put together, except that my hands were too weak to use a riveting gun, so I bought screws and bolts and screwed the gray extension border onto the white part of the shroud. Everything fit perfectly, despite the fact that I did not follow the directions and did not put the inside gray trim on the way it was supposed to; I wore it the other way around, and it seemed to fit better that way. That's exactly how my previous one was put together. It was simply a matter of getting on the roof, removing the old one, and screwing the new one on once I had the extension screwed on. I'm thrilled with my new shroud because the screw holes lined up perfectly.

It's a good substitute for my old air conditioner, and it fits perfectly
4/5

My 1992 camper's air conditioner cover, with (Duo - Model 57915 of the Therm Brisk air. When I removed it for roof painting, I found it to be very brittle and cracked in four places. I was surprised to find that replacements are still available, albeit at a high price, but I'm glad I was able to purchase one. The cover was a perfect fit for my old unit, which had an exposed condenser coil, so this full cover provides a little more protection in that regard; however, I did have to cut the sheet metal "close off plates" as instructed in order for it to fit. My unit has the gray band on the base; it's a little confusing that the new unit's instructions said to rivet the band with the slots down, but my old unit was riveted with the slots up. After looking at it, I realized it didn't matter; the holes line up in either position, and with slots on the bottom, you have more room to line up the screw holes with the base unit; perhaps that's why they reversed it. The only drawback is that when I started installing the supplied rivets to attach the gray band, they broke away from the rivet head in the wrong place, leaving 3/4" inch of the rivet shaft protruding out, even with a different rivet gun, so I had to cut and file the shaft on the few I put in and buy new rivets, as well as a rivet gun that I didn't need. Aside from that, the instructions were well-thought-out and, in comparison to some recent purchases, saved me a lot of guesswork.

For this, you'll need a good set of tools
4/5

First and foremost, do you have any kind of rivit tool? As a third hand, I had extra-large vice grips, and I needed a grinder with a cut-off wheel for two different operations. A philips screwdriver is, of course, required. br>br>Step one requires the use of rivits to install the plastic peace. I thought I could do this for you and ship it to you, but I guess a larger box would be required. It has a skewed tone to it and necessitates a lot of profanity to work. br>br>This item had rivits that were half snapped off and protruded over an inch. This is the first time I've had a problem with rivits, and it's happened several times since then. I used my grinder to cut them down and remove any sharp edges. br>br>A couple galvanized steel parts next to the condenser coils should be cut down at an angle to fit my AC unit. Finally, you'll need alcohol and a rag to clean the areas where you'll apply the insulating foam. It did, however, come with some gleaming new hardware. br>br> The two screw holes in the back don't fit the longer bolts, so you'll have to drill them out. br>br>It looks good, but it takes a little longer than the single peace option.
