If you want to take out the spindle of any 4x4 you will need this kit. Use this with a slide hammer and you can remove the spindle so Besides the sterling 10 hub tool, this kit includes the sterling 10 hub tool. The age is 25 and over In order to mount hub nut 3/4 and 1 inch wheels, use the 6 point socket A set of one-ton front axles, a Dana 44 front axle, and a lock nut socket for the Toyota. There is no doubt this is one of the most useful kits around.
I bought the set and it is decent enough quality, but it didn't even come close to working on my 1997 F350 Dana 60 front end as described. To make the socket functional, I had to weld on flanges to the outside of one of the sockets. So I will give it 3 stars because the description of the product is misleading but the quality is in the middle.
I bought it hoping it would cover 4WD trucks, which is all I needed it for. There are none of these that are going to fit the front bearings on a 1992 Ford F250. With the help of long needle nose pliers and a screwdriver, I made the project. The ones that do fit and work like they should, except for that.
I find the tools fit well and work well, they do a good job. In this case, the tools lose a star because they are poorly finished. They have a flat black textured cheap "anti-slip" finish that is easy to scratch, difficult to clean, and looks like they forgot to apply a protection coating to them. Some gearwrench tools, such as KD Tools and Danaher tool groups, have this coating. The thing about these guys is that they get used on gear oil and bearing grease covered parts and I wish they would use a smooth finish that was easily cleaned.
It's impossible to beat gear wrench's products. I use these on a daily basis, and they are able to withstand the abuse of the industry while being significantly less expensive than most of their competitors of the same caliber.
Excellent set. Super happy with it. The Dana 80 has already been heavily modified with a few of them. Buying the set for close to the cost of just one socket is a great deal.
You know, I mean, it's gearwrench, so I don't think I need to say much. In addition to having a case, the sockets are slightly oiled to prevent rust. It is a very nice set, and it comes for a good price as well.
My friend who is also a mechanic received this as a gift. He seems to be able to depend on her when she is needed!.
