I am very pleased with it

The only downside is that it is expensive and hard You will need the hard piece of black plastic to push the pink plastic Replacing the purple bushing with a white plastic one. You can then just put your hand back on the switch The installation of this kit was remarkably easy on a Toyota Corolla Le 2005. For a how-to on getting access to the shifter knob rod, you can watch YouTube videos. There is no need other than a phillips screwdriver and I think a 10mm socket wrench (maybe a As of now, I've had it on for about two weeks and it seems to be working well. Wish it weren't so expensive, but it's better than paying the dealer to replace the whole unit.

I find it to work perfectly

Instructions for installing the GX470 are lacking, but the install itself is not difficult. on a 2006 GX470 to fix a shift rod cable that kept falling off each time the shift lever was shifted. Exactly what I was looking for. This is not difficult to set up, but the instructions on the web site are not clear. If you own a GX470, you will need to disassemble the center console so that you can pull the shifter out far enough to access the cable, which you can then insert. To remove the shifter you will need a 12mm ratchet and a couple of extensions, as well as something to remove the clutch The cable is held in place at the back of the shifter by a clip. It only takes a little prying with a plastic trim tool to remove the trim pieces It will only take you a few minutes to remove the two side moldings, the main shifter cover, and the cup holder insert. The process of doing it probably takes 5 minutes if you know what you are doing, but I took a bit longer than that (around 90 minutes) without any instructions. Despite some loose change found under the console, I did find some loose change. The bonus!.

This is a nice alternative to having to replace the entire gear shift cable on 2007 Toyota Corollas
5/5

C- was the grade I used Following the advice of a good YouTube video, I tried using a washer/clamp to temporarily solve this issue, but it hasn't been fixed yet with this bushing. Despite my lack of initiative, the value of this relatively inexpensive fix should not be lessened by my poor initiative rather than taking the more expensive and time-consuming alternative. Replacing the cable as a whole would cost more money. It will probably take awhile for Florida to cool off (it was a brutal summer here), but I know sooner or later I'll have to make a permanent fix since I always get C-discharge in the toilet Regardless of the time of year, the washer/clip will fail at the worst moment. I recommend watching the video on youtube showing this repair, even with the C-shaped fixing Use a washer clamp, since it will make repairing it much easier. It took me way too long to get around to it, but I have put off writing a review for too long, so now I'm going to do it once the bushing arrives. This is the 21st update - My Corolla's driver mentioned that it seemed to have been playing lately, so I installed this bushing. I normally do not do this sort of thing, but this time I did it. My confused understanding of the instructions has led me to wonder which side of the bushing (one side is segmented along its rim whereas the other is solid all the way around its rim) is the driver's side & which faces the passenger side. It appears the segmented rim faces the driver's side while the solid rim faces the passenger side which makes sense because the segmented side will not be moving since the gear shift column is attached to the end of the pin and the segmented side was easier to slide on. Solid rim side is the one that is open with nothing to keep it from sliding off (other than a tightly fit snug fit). This is what caused it to slide off in the first place, so the repair is required. Having fixed it, it fits snugly and there are no movement any more, so I am happy with the result. There was no C extra in my bag The washer clip is still hanging around after I deformed the one that was there as a temporary fix, but if this repair is required again, I would put another C-clip on there An extra precaution to prevent the bushing from coming off again is to use a washer clip on the end of the bushing facing the passenger. If it's worth anything, it takes about 5 minutes to remove the center console that surrounds the Gear Shifter (see Youtube video), so it's worth taking the time. In the beginning, I scraped my hands on the table in a confined space, so I removed it instead of doing that now. A few screws and a few nuts need to be removed Taking off/removing a few covers that are easily clipped on and off is very simple, but quite time-consuming It should be easy to take off or remove.

Check this first, otherwise it won't fit well either

It is not necessarily the bushing that causes all gear shift problems. As the transmission shift linkage "fix", it is billed as an alternative product to transmission shift links. However, it does not solve all linkage issues. Apparently, if your bushing isn't working, this is the only thing you need to do! My research shows that it tends to be a problem if the glue dries, cracks, and becomes loose. Dryer climates are more likely to experience this phenomenon. The bushing is the first thing to inspect Unless it shows signs of wear and tear, do not replace it. The bushing I replaced had been a perfectly good bushing I removed them both (and destroyed them in the process). This bushing has a lot of play when I first look at it. Although it doesn't fit tightly in the sprocket on a 2005 Camry, it does manage to maintain its position within the sprocket. However, the issue was not resolved. The reason for this is probably due to rust on the metal cable itself creating resistance within the cable housing, and not to It has been a year since I installed this product and now I realize the real.

Initially, the part fit my vehicle without a problem
5/5

After several years and several miles, the automatic transmission would not shift into park or any other gear.

Everything has been done as usual, but I did a web search and checked the transmission fluid and engine mounts. As a result of what I learned, I ordered the part. The part arrived in a few days and I took up the task of removing I had to look for videos showing it or a list of fasteners that needed to be removed to accomplish this task. Having learned why shops charge so much for labor, I understand now why shops charge so much. A large number of videos show how other parts have been changed, but none show what my model needs. If I were to purchase another vehicle of the same make and model, I would do so. I found it to be relatively trouble-free. Parts of the old one were found in the bottom of the center console, so I installed the new bushings without a hitch. Overall I was satisfied with the purchase and.

I was able to save money with this simple fix
5/5

There is no need to buy an expensive replacement shift cable or have a dealer replace it for around $400 or more. With this product you can save over $200 and get a better deal. It was effortless to replace this bushing and it was of excellent quality. The bushing would probably last longer than the OEM part. Getting this bushing and cable in one package saved me some time, but I would still have to spend quite a bit more money than what Bushing Fix offers. You can remove the center console, clean the shift linkage, apply the provided grease, install the bushing and replace the There was no need to use the provided bushing tool, because it was so easy. In the future, I will buy this item again if I needed it or if one of my vehicles needed.
