Questions & Answers
Your struts have 10mm ball studs and a fitting on the end that will fit the stud due to the 10 mm fitting. I used them on my ford but had to modify slightly to fit a rear tail hatch on a explorer, but it was still feasible to install them. The studs you are looking at using use 5/16 x 18 nuts, which seems pretty standard.
A bolt with a diameter of 0 is what I measured. One hundred and fifty-five inches. If you search Google for JR 10mm ball stud images, you'll find a bunch of images, one of which contains all the dimensions of the BS-33 Shows bolt to be 0. 1005 and 1005 show bolt to be 0.
There are items in the list that weigh less than 5lbs. There is about one inch of space between each of the studs. Approximately 3/8 inch in diameter, 10mm is the ball's diameter. A 13mm wrench is used to tighten the hex nut base. According to the appearance, it is made from chrome
It wasn't provided by the university. I had to supply it myself. I believe the size of the nuts was 5/16 - inch The 18 should have a 5/16" washer on the other end. A number of hardware stores carry both of these items.

A JR BS- was issued to me This set includes the same 1005 studs as shown in other reviewer's photographs. However, these studs will not be of the same high quality as The rods are black, the threads and hex are very poorly formed, and the ball stud portion is much longer, which makes the strut sit further away from the mount. They didn't work for me so I am not using them, I do not know if they were manufactured incorrectly or if they were packaged incorrectly.
The term BS-now is widely used A black version of 1005 has a ball stud that has been The picture indicated I needed a short style, for which the extended version is not appropriate. The trip had to be cut short.
After installing one and getting the lift support installed, it broke the very first time. Needless to say, I wasn't happy with it. It was a good thing I had gotten two, so I replaced it with the second. Thus far, it appears to be holding up, but we will see how it holds up in the future. Rather than giving 4 stars, I'm going to give 3 stars because it seems like the second one is more interesting. My box may simply have been a bad one, but it isn't worth the hassle to return since the other one works. As an extra, I didn't use both of them so I could use one in the future.
On the hood of my 2004 Chevy Silverado, there is a tailgate cover. While replacing the cover, a stud was snapped off after some unexpected force caused the strut to twist instead of welded to it. It cost a considerable sum of money to replace the entire strut and hydraulic arm assembly provided by the original manufacturer. These ball studs were a near-perfect fit in a broken part that had no option of just fixing it or replacing it. It did require a small bit of drilling to bore out the hole on the strut, but after that everything fit very well. Quick trip to my local big box store to pick up a 5/16"-wide Then I just needed a lock nut of 18mm and I was good to go.
It's easy to install (it doesn't come with a nut, but I used a nylon lined lock nut and washer instead. It is as strong as it gets. In the long run, I'll see how well these hold up since this is for my hood and corrosion may prove an issue in the future.
5/16" diameter. The thread count is 18. The ball is 10mm in diameter.
It is made from either grade 3 or grade 5 steel, however, which makes them good for light duty applications. The use of heavy duty equipment is not recommended.
I never used this product, but it seems like it would be nice.
