br>br>For landscape contractors (or homeowners with large properties) who use commercial walk behind mowers: This item is precisely what you require to ensure that the gas shock on your Proslide Sulky "skid plate" does not become disconnected. br>br>The issue I had was that the manufacturer provided a stud (just like this one) to connect the gas shock from the machine mount to the Proslide Sulky that was too short. The bolt provided by the manufacturer gave me about an 1/8th of an inch of thread to connect the gas shock into the mount and tighten down the nut on the backside, which created a problem because of the vibrating from the sulky moving over the ground as much as it does. The extra play caused by the bolt boring out the hole in the mount previously allowed the nut to unscrew and detach the gas shock from the machine! By installing this longer stud, there is more thread available to properly tighten down the gas shock, preventing the extra play and movement of the sulky when cutting grass. br>br>I hope that this information is useful.

These ends were purchased to replace broken ball ends on my horse trailer's door struts. These appear to be a bit more solidly constructed than the originals. They are appropriate for the pre-existing situation. No drilling is required for my installation because there are already existing holes. They were a perfect fit for the struts' socket ends. For the price, it was a good buy.

These are extremely useful for replacing old-style gas shocks with newer, more up-to-date models. On my Jeep CJ hardtop, I used it for the back window hatch. The originals had a lot of spring sounds and were quite loud. It's now perfect and up to date, thanks to the use of these studs and standard gas shocks.

Converting a manual hood to one that opens with hydraulic lift supports was the goal. My Charger has factory locations for this, as well as ball studs on the hood side, but not on the fender side. I had to tap the threads to match the car's 5/16" x 18 threads, but once I did, these threaded right into place solidly, and I now have an automatically opening hood. I recently purchased a Jeep CJ- The hardtop on it didn't have struts or even studs to mount them when I bought it a few months ago. After some quick research, I discovered that this was the correct size for me, and they fit exactly where the originals did! So far, they've proven to be durable and simple to install; all I needed was a ratchet and a wrench to secure them, and these are likely much less expensive than anything offered by aftermarket Jeep websites and catalogs. If you need ball studs for struts or anything else, this is the way to go.

After about 4 years of not having the air shock things hooked up on my truck cab's back window, I installed these studs and no longer have to carry around a piece of 2x4 to keep it open. The fittings were easy to install on the studs.
