Questions & Answers

Are you looking for the right and left parts of this part number?

I don't know if this item fits both the light switch on the right and left doors of the old Ford F Series pick up trucks, but I do know it does for the right door. In my 1996 Ford F350, I have the same style of plug on both sides. In my opinion, if you have an OBS F series Ford pickup from 1980 through 1996, this item will work on either side.

There seem to be a few different models for the A and B pillars of the truck I came across while researching. Are both cases covered by this?

I have been able to use it on both my Ford F350 and my Jeep Wrangler. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

Could you tell me the size of the socket I need for installation?

To install it, you will need a 9/16 deep well socket. No need to twist the plug on the back of the switch. Simply pull on it gently while gently removing the plug.

Are you in possession of the wire plug for ?

I needed a different switch than they sent me, but they were very friendly and helpful in refunding my

There's something magical going on! The system works, I don't understand how it does it The light in the ceiling goes on now as I open the door! Additionally, I was able to shut off the alarm when I closed the door! It's true, can you believe it? The world is going crazy!

There's a right part there, so please read it! After installing the brass shaft, you must close the door slowly to allow it to settle

While I was almost going to return it, I decided to conduct.

I really like it! Here are some things you should know before you return
5/5

OBS Ford trucks are the perfect match for the switch. The old switch should be removed and the new switch should be installed using a 9/16" The depth should be set by slowly closing the switch door once it has been installed. As long as you have some mechanical ability, you should be able to do the installation without difficulty. To ensure that your wiring does not get damaged, make sure you are cautious. It should take about five minutes to install I am running 10 minutes late.

Jeep cherokee classic from 1999
5/5

The part number and everything were the same as what I found at my local parts store, but it was just half the price. It was a no-brainer. The doors of my jeep would randomly lock and I would be locked out multiple times while it was running. Apparently, if a car does not know whether a door is fully open or closed, it may cause all kinds of issues. An easy fix for a simple problem.

It does not come with the outer plastic piece that snaps into the door jamb
3/5

Rather than the black plastic surround that snaps into the hole of a napa switch, this one looks like a normal switch. A plastic piece was attached to the old switch, and I couldn't remove it. Sockets are not allowed due to space limitations. It might be a good idea to take the old switch off before ordering the new It cost me 17$ to get the whole thing from the local auto parts store.

This is worth the time

Installs in no time at all. The machine seems to be brand Do not listen to those who complain about the length of the line. As a result, it will automatically adjust itself as soon as it is installed. You can now close your door all the way and install the unit. As it telescopes in, the plunger will stop exactly where it is supposed to.

FITS MY 1988 Jeep Comanche, but not my 1988 Jeep Comanche as described on It corresponds to the Cherokee model from the mid-1990s to the late 1990s
3/5

Not only does it not fit the 1988 Comanche and Cherokee, I'm not sure why it's listed for them. In addition, the threads that screw into the body are too large, and no way are they going to fit in the hole in the connector.

Worked great for me
5/5

This door switch worked well for me to replace my damaged one. I did not receive instructions with the switch. An adjustment of friction is necessary for the system to work. Install through screwing in and then closing the door slowly until it is fully closed, and then pressing the barrel into place inside the housing will produce a perfectly fitted barrel.
