I don't know if this item fits both the light switch on the right and left doors of the old Ford F Series pick up trucks, but I do know it does for the right door. In my 1996 Ford F350, I have the same style of plug on both sides. In my opinion, if you have an OBS F series Ford pickup from 1980 through 1996, this item will work on either side.
I have been able to use it on both my Ford F350 and my Jeep Wrangler. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

OBS Ford trucks are the perfect match for the switch. Sockets are not allowed due to space limitations. It might be a good idea to take the old switch off before ordering the new It cost me 17$ to get the whole thing from the local auto parts store.
Installs in no time at all. The machine seems to be brand Do not listen to those who complain about the length of the line. This door switch worked well for me to replace my damaged one. I did not receive instructions with the switch. An adjustment of friction is necessary for the system to work. Install through screwing in and then closing the door slowly until it is fully closed, and then pressing the barrel into place inside the housing will produce a perfectly fitted barrel.
