As promised, I received the part quickly and it was an exact replacement for the broken part. I put it in and it works beautifully. The wires on this part are sometimes referred to as an "a/c vacuum selection switch" or a "a/c mode selector switch. ". 'This is the switch that controls where the air conditioner blows (defrost, feet, etc. ) on the 1997 Ford Ranger.

I have no issues with the switch

There is a new address for my friend and his truck. I have no issues with the switch. An old friend of mine moved to Louisiana, but without an air conditioner, he couldn't do as well as he should have.
