On our 2007 Cougar 5th wheel, the previous landing gear switch suffered from a hardware failure. The motor for our landing gear had a fuse of 40 amps. A 201 Series switch made by Sigma in Elkhart, IN, was marked on my old switch when I pulled it out. I found the appropriate switch on their website, an 201S (DPDT Momentary On/Off/Momentary On) rated at 20 amps at 125VAC, 15 amps at 250VAC, 20 amps continuous and 40 amps peak It cost a good amount to buy the switch from Sigma's consumer website, but shipping costs were twice the switch's price. The JR Products switch has the same ratings and physical dimensions as the original Sigma switch, after much searching for it. It was substantially less expensive to order this from Amazon Prime (while Sigma's prices were higher). When I received the switch, I was surprised to find that it actually was made by Sigma - I had never seen this brand before Replacement switch that is perfect for the bad type (only difference is that it was exclusively black whereas the original I don't have a problem with the Installed the new switch into the existing white bezel on the exterior of the fifth wheel. Removed the new switch from the new bezel and plugged the wires into the spade connectors on the new switch. I've tested it and it works wonderful.
Adding pins to the slide switch to replace the old ones. I highly recommend this switch as a replacement for the old 6-pole switch In my Gulfstream RV, there is a four-pin slide switch. On the stock switch, the connectors at the bottom of the small spade are defective. The only thing that was complicated was the 14 ga) wire. In addition to being more robust than the stock switch, the bezel at the top of this switch fits into the original wall hole and hides it.
I replaced that switch on the Forest River Surveyor to control the awning after it became defective. I was able to solve the problem by replacing the defective switch with one that fit into a wall panel. To do this I removed the small panel on the replacement (be careful, it's not easy). This wall panel was a perfect match for the existing one. did not need to be replaced, it was identical to the original. Series 201 S (Sigma Electronics). The switch has six connectors and it is a DPDT momentary on, off, on.
The replacement switch I needed for the slide-out was just what I needed. I am happy with the results.
The lighting circuits in my R have grown due to the purchase of many of these switches.
Great design.
Thanks! It worked like a charm!.
