The importance of the 1200 watt inverter cannot be overstated. br>I'm guessing the voltage is 12 volts.
1200 watts/12v = 100 amps
Use a breaker rated 20% or 120 amps
Use a breaker rated another 20% or 120 amps

84v. yes. br>A 40-amp breaker was used for an 80-amp circuit. no.br>br>These breakers have small contacts. If you require 80 amps, purchase a breaker with a capacity of twice that. br>In my opinion, the highest amperage breaker should be purchased. br>br>E9 breakers aren't just for DC or AC. They don't even have a range of operating voltages. Whether it's 5 volts or 500 volts, DC or AC, there's something for everyone. The breaker is unconcerned about any of it. When the contacts open, they use a mechanical arc breaker, which flips in between them. br>There is no tuned circuit for DC and only a limited voltage range for arc breaking.
The answer to your question, Melissa, is yes in general. There are, however, other factors to take into account. The breaker you're looking at is rated for 30 amps of current. It's a breaker that operates in the DC range. You make no mention of the "Green Fusible link's" designed trip point. You also don't specify what voltage system this "Green fusible link" is connected to, nor whether it is AC or DC. The breaker you're referring to is designed for low-voltage DC systems and is only rated for 72 volts - as stated previously. I'd be happy to add my two cents, but I'd need a little more information. I'd find someone who is an expert in electronics locally, or provide more information about the application - What system or application does the fusible link serve, and what is the voltage supply level?
The voltage range of E9 breakers is 0 volts. br>E9 circuit breakers are not DC or AC specific. They break the arc by sliding a plastic flange between the contacts. A DC voltage range does not have a tuned circuit.

To see the insides of one, I disassembled it:
1. The contacts on the inside are quite small. I'm not sure the contacts can handle 200 amps. It's just that they're not big enough.
2. This item is completely new! The contacts had already been partially scorched when they arrived from the factory!
3. There is no DC or AC voltage range in the E9 style breaker. They don't have a tuned circuit to break the arc on the inside. The arc is broken by a small plastic flange that slides between the contacts. It's likely to work just as well at 12V DC as it does at 200V DC.
4. The mechanism that moves the plastic flange into place is quite weak, so it takes a long time to move the flange into place. I'm sure the contacts take a pounding under load before the arc breaks!.
This is what I put on my solar generator that I built myself. It's connected to my battery bank and a 1500 W pure sine wave inverter. The batteries have a continuous capacity of 150Ah, and I needed something to protect my investment. The 1500W inverter draws 125A from the 12V system. As a result, I chose to use 2/0 copper THHN cabling and a 200A breaker. Although it is a bit excessive, I am able to draw 1500W from my system with no noticeable warming of the cabling. This 200A DC breaker is in perfect working order. It's simple to set up and use. It gives me peace of mind to know that my system is secure. By simply pressing the trip button, I can turn off the power to the inverter. As a result, this accomplishes two goals. I think it's a great deal and well worth the money, so I'm giving it 5 stars.
I've been using this breaker for a few months now as both a short-circuit and overload protection device as well as a convenient on/off switch. This breaker is on the positive side of my battery bank, which supplies power to several dusk-to-dawn lights. When I installed these, I intentionally tested the overload capabilities of these and it only took about a second for it to trip, so I know they work great. When I don't want the outside lights to turn on, I can use it to turn off the circuit. It can easily accommodate up to 1/0 wiring; I haven't tried larger wiring with these yet, but it appears that you could if necessary. By pressing the button, you can manually cut the circuit. Return the exposed lever to its original position to reset it. It's very simple and reliable.
well- This was a well-made product that held up better than I had anticipated. It's a well-made product at a fraction of the price of a well-known brand; I tested it when I got it, and it worked. This is the proper way to construct a circuit breaker.
It's mounted in a cabin cruiser for a solar array, so as long as it trips if there's a problem, I'm satisfied.
It was easy to set up and has performed admirably thus far. Stay tuned after I've used it for a while. I haven't used it yet, and I don't intend to, but if any negatives emerge, I'll post them here. It appeals to my tastes.
We use it as the power cutoff switch on an electric bicycle, and it's never let me down. I tested it on and off once a day, and it's used like a key to turn the power off. I'm very pleased with this purchase. My old fuse connection would overheat and melt, and the moisture would corrode it. This one keeps working flawlessly.
It's being used to develop a tool for my company. There are no issues!.
