I was able to purchase an actual Ford part for much less than the Ford parts department wanted and had the installation It can be installed very easily. The socket you need for everything should be a 10mm socket. You can learn how to prevent this problem in the future by watching a video online. Lithium grease in white color is what I used. Pads made of felt. Cleaning the terminals and bolts with a wire brush is also recommended. I tightened the hand crank to fit snugly and the If that is the case, total time spent will be 1 hour.
I absolutely love this! A replacement that is exactly the same. That worked like a charm! Utilize a small slotted screwdriver to remove the locking tabs found on every one of them. Once you have loosed the whole assembly, let the battery go. Remove all the wires and connections from it before you remove The assembly will be much easier to work on. The new replacement could not be more perfect for me. Despite the low price, it's an excellent buy.
As far as I know, it Several Ford Flexes are available for 2015. Positive terminal of the battery in the Redbox was completely corroded. My Ford dealership did not have the part I needed just to fix the Redbox, so I went to another Ford dealer who did. When I was looking for the wiring set up for my car, this was the ideal one. It is back to the way it should be. This was the part I used. Because corrosion was so bad, I will eventually have to buy a complete wiring harness but for now, it was an easy fix rather than one that would have cost a lot. Now that I'm saving, I'm able to purchase it.
A ten minute fix - no tools required. Taking my time to clean all cables attached to it was an effort in itself. I don't get why these flimsy terminal "straps" (they're not good enough to call "clamps") are adopted - I don't understand why these flimsy terminal "straps" are adopted. The failure seems built into their design. They are not OEM Ford parts, but they are at a fraction of what a dealer might charge for this terminal connector and the positive cable (that typically does not need to be repaired). Two of them have been purchased so you can have a spare when this one wears out.
I have attached photos so you can see what this product looks like. I have a 2015 Taurus that fits the kit perfectly. Among the only downsides of the product are the fact that there is no replacement nut/bolt included. For two connections, two pieces of hardware cost 15 cents.
Purchasing Ford's wiring kit results in a price tag of more than 300 dollars. Pictures have been posted by others. A strong, durable part, not a cheap one.
When I first inquired about the wiring harness, I was told I had to buy it all. A quick Google search revealed this and I was able to replace the broken part for a cheap price. I was very pleased with the results!.
