While they are made in Mexico, there are a lot of counterfeits made by China that look like Bussmann, but do not belong to the company. Just as often as I've come across the real tokens, I've encountered counterfeits. This type of device has been used quite a bit over the years by me- Among other things, I use them to disconnect batteries in classic cars and to install amplifiers in cars - They have yellow trim on them and are slightly more expensive than the marine version. I have not seen a fake of them, however. I don't know for sure, but I would think it protects from the inside or outside. As a result of the cable ends being too large for the screws on the circuit breaker, my circuit breaker is still in the box. I will need to find a larger version of the circuit breaker.

The Bussmann product line is the best out there and I have purchased them They have a good track record. Several years go by before they need to be replaced. I like the way they look. This brand is cheap junk. Please do not purchase this brand. As soon as I connected it to a charge controller with 80 amps, it tripped at 70 amps the first time.
