Color codes seem to be mixed up for you. It is illogical that the colors are this way. My copy is in a new place. By the way. Current will not flow as fast through the wires as it does through
is the way to go. The 30 pin on mine has been replaced with 12awg. This 16 ga is not large enough to handle the 40a it was designed
My previous attempts to trigger the relay used a common 9v battery and on another occasion two AA battery packs. You don't have to do much to achieve this. As part of a DC experiment, I use these to demonstrate a coil relay. They work well on Jeeps as well.
The resistance I measured for 86 is 78 Ohms

The reason I am writing this review is to respond to the reviewers who gave it 1 "star" for the 16 gauge There were reviews that stated that wire was only rated for 10A (incorrectly). That's not right! Using 16 gauge wire for 60V or less, I've read that 10ft can handle 24A CONTINUOUS on 10ft of primary wire. Those who wrote the negative reviews need to understand Ohm's law BEFORE they lead shoppers astray!.
The relays are well sealed, so you won't have to worry about water getting into the relay. There is wiring included in the package, however the connectors are not sealed, so water can still get into them. It is not suited to accept a continuous load of 30/40 amps. Furthermore, the wires that are used are perhaps a little on the small side for sustained high current. There is no need to remove the terminals from the connector, so heavier wires can still be installed and There is a bit of flimsiness to the mounting bracket, but the relay stays safe.
These work well for the center stop light project. I also like the fact that they all slide or clip together. In my tailer, the brake light and turn signal are combined, and I didn't want the center brake light to illuminate when I pressed the brakes and one of the blinkers was on. With these relays and a couple of diodes, I achieved what I was looking for. Granted, the 30A carry capacity of the relay points is a bit much for the LED stop beacon. When I experience other earlier life (MTBF) failures due to the way I have used the machine, I'll let you know.
This build appears to be solid. However, it is important to realize that the coil is powered by 9V DC input only, which means you'll need a booster module to connect to a low voltage supply to make it Essentially, the electromagnet will only close the connection when it is at a minimum of 9v, as opposed to the advertised 5v voltage.
As a result, I had to install an aftermarket wiring harness in order to run a rear light bar and I failed to provide a way to mount the relay. I have pigtail harnesses extra and am thus able to relay outfits for my new relays, and the new relays work perfectly To activate the pod lights I have in the corners, click on the "Trigger" button.
It was a good price, and the documentation was very good. A potential problem relates to the gauge wire used on the sockets, as I am unsure they could withstand 40 amps, let alone 30 The 10 amps I got are fine with me, because I knew what I was getting into. I used to crimp my own connectors to my wiring if I needed higher amps, so I do not need to use their.
I rarely write product reviews, but in this case, I was really impressed. As you know, many manufacturers are in the same situation. There are no installation instructions or information on how to install the product, so they can avoid any liability for its The packaging box was neat and compact, and the shipping was very fast. recommend this product because of the great value it has and the superior quality it provides.
It's kind of annoying that the relays are rated for 30 / 40 amps, but they only come with 16 gauge wire leads for the loads. It is recommended that you use a minimum of 10 gauge wire if something is drawing 30 amps or more. Therefore, I would say that these smaller diameter leads would kind of compromise the use that they could have for 30 or 40 amp loads.
