Questions & Answers

When I set the coil in 12 volts, how many millamps does the power draw the coil at or what is its ohm?

This trigger is powered by 150 milliamps at a max resistance of 100 milliohms, and uses *150 milliamps as its load. This may be of some use to you.

I want to connect the relay to the 'load' circuit of a solar panel controller. Could the relay remain powered for long periods?

There would be an important impact on its capacity based on how much data it generates. The LED running lights on my motorcycle are wired in 24/7, so they stay on continuously, and they can remain lit for many hours. I have not encountered any problems with these relays so far. Through a low load through the contact, it can theoretically remain energized for an indefinite period of time.

Does a diode come built in to these?

It should not depend on the wattage of the bulb for the led to operate if it has a built-in diode, like a 12 volt led 1156.

Can you tell me what gauge the wires are? I need 12 gauge cable but I believe they normally are 14 gauge. ?

Wires 14 GA are used on three wires on the set just received. It has power (and As well as They are wired). There are also two other wires (coil triggers) that The 18GA was used instead of 16GA. As can be seen in one of the photos. I'd like to know the vendor's operation cycle rating as well, I know the load rating for a 30amp load is higher than for a 5amp load. What am I referring to when I say a 40 amp load, but are we talking about 200,000 total cycles at 30 amps or something drastically less?

You get a good return on your investment
5/5

It looks like a nice set of relays, everything looks well This item comes in its own plastic box as an added bonus. In order to prevent water and moisture from getting into the relay and causing the contacts to suffer premature wear, the bottom of the relay is sealed. Although the wires on the provided relay sockets are not sized for the full current rating, this is fine for the majority of applications these will be used for, and it wouldn't make sense to make them with a heavy gauge by default, as this would be more cumbersome. In case you really need to switch high currents, you should bypass the relay sockets and just connect it directly to your wire. It is possible to interlock the relay sockets side by side with the grooves provided on the sides. If you intend to separate them at some point in the future, take a utility knife and ease the edge on the tip of the male tongue Then it will be easier to slip it back off. In case mounting tabs are needed, they are provided in a separate bag After they have been clicked in, they are virtually impossible to remove, as they need prying to get them out. You could probably leave them off until you're ready to mount them, since there may be no need for the center ones in a ganged setup. This red wire represents the COM (Terminal 30), yellow represents the NC (Terminal 87a), and blue represents the NO and the COM wires (Terminal 87). The white and black wires are the coil inputs, marked with the 14V symbol. It was about a 7-volt draw when the voltage was pulled in. It drops out at approximately 3V, with an average voltage of 8V. It is recommended that full coil voltage be applied on the NO contact to minimize the resistance of the contacts as this brings both contacts closer together and enables maximum current handling. When I measured the contact resistance with a 1A test current, the resistance of terminal 87 normally open (NO) was milliohms were found to be normal closed (NC) contact in 87a, while 6 was found for 87b. A milliohm is 8 ohms. In other words, that is Two voltage drops occur across the terminals when the receptacle is fully loaded. Over time and with a constant load however, expect their degradation to worsen, and if you continue driving at full load, expect them to heat up and degrade at an increasingly rapid rate until they fail. If you drive the load constantly, you may want to measure the voltage drop periodically to detect conditions that may suggest a If you are not sure if your installation is in good shape, use your DMM to measure across the contact splices in the millivolt range. In the event that you have significant voltage on closed loops, this may indicate you have bad contacts at the relay socket, bad relays, or faulty splices. If you use dielectric grease on the relay terminals in a harsh environment or if they're exposed to moisture, you can reduce the loss of contact over time. There were no visible signs of problems with the sockets, none of the crimps looked uneven or broken- All in all, the set of relays is very nice and useful.

Good relays that work all the time! When you buy a cheap electronic item, you can run the risk of losing your money
5/5

It scared me to buy them at this price because I was afraid they wouldn't turn out well. After reading positive reviews, I strongly believed that I would be able to get through, but after installing 5 out of 6 relays, I am convinced. If I had to buy these again, I would have no hesitation at all. There is a good chance I will receive more of these in the near future, in fact. I really like this one! As a result of these relays and a keyless entry module, I installed keyless entry in my older vehicle that did not have one. The short story is that I wanted the door lock motor for the driver's side door to be isolated from the door lock for the other door locks so it could be Separating and isolating the motor on the driver's side door lock was made easier with these relays. I have been using these for over a week with no issues. Based on other reviews, I have no concerns that these will not continue to work as they should.

It was nice that they arrived ahead of schedule and that the relay was simple
5/5

It was a 5 pin Bosch style relay. It was nice that these came faster than I had expected, and I got three for one. At this price a 5 pin Bosch style relay retails for about $6, so this was a great deal for me. Each one comes with a plug for a professional As a result, I consider this deal an outstanding one. In order to use the aftermarket marker lights, I plan to use a couple to mimic the turn signals on the vehicle. Additionally, they can be used to control a high current circuit, like driving lights, when you need only a low current switch. Based on the results I have achieved with a few of them, I will adjust my star rating.
I have now used a few of them and they have been very effective.

I got a set of relays and sockets for an amazing price
5/5

In some places you can get a single relay socket for less than the price of the 6 relays and 6 sockets included in this product, so when I found them I was thrilled. In contrast, some relay sockets have only their four outer terminals wired up, which is a nice touch since I've had a few sockets in the past which only had the outer terminals wired up. I have no issues with them snapping to other sockets I have, and the wire is of good Although I haven't run these very long for me to say a lot about their durability, it has been good so far.

The relay you are looking for is an inexpensive 12 volt DC one that works as expected
5/5

The landscape lights in my home are turned on at dusk and turned off at dawn via my home automation system. Since I installed it twenty years ago, it is still using x10, which is not the most reliable technology. In order to provide feedback to my control computer, I wanted to set up a wiring circuit so the lights would turn on or off. I went out and bought an AC to DC converter (so my landscape lighting would be powered by 12 volts DC) and hooked it up It works, now I can tell when the lights are on because the normally open contacts are connected to my digital input on my home controller! After sending the "turn on" command repeatedly until the lights do come on, the controller sends "turn on" again and again until they do indeed Thus far, it has worked very well. of the documentation I read seemed a little confusing since at one point it indicated that the ground pin should be on one pin, and at another point, it indicated it should be As this was only for the NO and NC contacts, it did not matter, since they are independent of the It was only one of these I needed (but I have spares now! That was a nice little bracket that came with it, so I could mount it outside, so no one could see it.

I am happy with this Buying 6 relays at such a low price is good value
5/5

There are a bunch of junkyards selling used ones for $5 ea. It is possible for most circuits to be handled with 30 or 40 amp contacts. Wires running through the sockets are 14 Ga, which are a bit stiff and hard to bend. Despite being belligerent, the amps are adequate for their job. Also, the cables interlock, so they make a strong connection, but it is difficult to unplug them one by one. The pads are not waterproof so they need to be kept out of the sun and rain. The terminals are capable of handling most applications since there are NC and NO options.
