This was purchased in September of last year, and it has already failed. What steps do I need to take to get a replacement under the one-year warranty?

Return it to the store where you bought it if it has a one-year warranty and you are confident in it based on the paperwork. Did you test your cooling fans by connecting them to your battery one at a time with fused jumpers to ensure that each one works independently? I'm inclined to believe that one of your cooling fan motors, rather than the computer, is malfunctioning. Alternatively, you could send it to your buyer, buy a new computer, and test the fans. It is entirely up to you to make this decision. In your engine's fuse box, check the fan relay as well.

Is the component in question still functional? After a few months of use, have you encountered any problems?

It's quite effective. There are no issues at all.

Coolant that has overflowed. I had a fan that would turn on when the air conditioning was turned on, but not at other times - As a result, the coolant in the reservoir began to overflow. The temperature control module had to be replaced - That did not solve the issue. The coolant temperature sensor in the engine was then replaced - That was the solution to the issue.

a hundred percent recommend I noticed that both of my fans were constantly turning on without the key in the ignition, indicating that this was the component that needed to be replaced

When I contacted my local auto parts stores, they all quoted me a price of around $140. This was around $25 when I bought it on here. I was fortunate enough to have the luxury of delaying delivery for a few days. The part was identical, and the connectors were perfectly aligned; there were no wiggling or janky parts or pieces, and it functioned as expected. It was flawless! was a tenth of the price of an auto zone purchase and 1/100 of the price of a mechanic's repair! My Toyota Sienna's problem with the running engine and draining battery has been resolved, and it's still running fine after a month!
